Welcome to my auction. This is a Moving Sale. I will be moving soon and cannot take my 1958 Super 88 Oldsmobile 4 door Hardtop with me. This is a true 50's classic that has lots of potential. My reserve price is reasonable and please do not ask to buy a part or item from the car unless you are willing to buy the entire car. As mentioned I am moving and am not in a position to be dealing with parting it out. Year- 1958 Make- Oldsmobile Model- Super 88 Body- 4 door Hardtop Coupe Original color- Sandstone Beige (exterior) Allegeney Green (roof) two tone Green (interior) Engine- 371 cubic inch Carb- 4 barrell Transmission- Automatic Power Brakes, Power Steering, A/C Air Conditioning (factory installed), and Wonder Bar Radio. I do have keys for the car. This is an all original car needing complete restoration currently non running and has been sitting for 10 years. Most everything is complete and there with the exception of passenger vent window missing, passenger side wiper arm missing, Hubcaps missing and the headliner bows I believe are MIA. Like with any classic needing restoration it will have some issues. The rear floors are very solid but the front floor pans need to be replaced (you can get them at classic fabrications), Gas tank has been removed with the intent to clean and recondition it will be placed in the trunk when car has been paid for. Interior needs complete refurbishing (I have new interior material that is included with the sale), I do have the glove box door which is currently not mounted on the dash. The body is mostly straight with a few little dings except for the driver front fender has a serious dent which can be straightened and pulled out otherwise the body has no ther major damage. Glass is the factory tinted glass that was installed with 58 Oldsmobiles with A/C, the front and rear windshields are in excellent condition, side glass is good and useable, driver glass has a diagnal crack but is not broke out or shattered, as mentioned above the passenger vent window is missing. Chrome is very good except the driver fender area and the front hood moulding, the grill has a small indentation (passenger side), Bumpers are very, very nice overall and all the side chrome trim is great. Car has been sanded and was prepping it for primer but I am unable to get to the next stage. I think I covered all the areas of what I know on the car. My intention was to restore it back to its glory days but need to sell due to moving. I encourage you ask all questions before purchasing. It is really a nice car with lots of exciting potential for the next owner. Take a look at the pics and decide for yourself. Its not everyday a 1958 Oldsmobile with A/C comes along. If car is not picked up by date mentioned above buyer forfeits all monies vested and car will be relisted and sold. So please make sure you can follow through.
