Vehicle Detail
I am selling my Suzuki GS550L Motorcycle. I have driven this bike for years and I am selling it because my wife has decided that she likes to travel on a bike. We are retiring and have purchased a larger bike. I love this bike. It is not perfect, but you will have a very hard time finding one that is in better shape for a bike that is over 30 years old. I bought Ohio "Historical" license plates for this bike. They never need to be renewed or replaced. The motorcycle has been stored indoors every winter and has not been ridden for the past 2 years. It starts and runs, but between 3000 and 3500 RPM the engine is bogging down. Above 3500 RPM it runs good again. I believe it must have a partly clogged jet. Running it again might cure that problem. I have Bates saddle bags on the bike. They are very much in demand and often sell for $200. The turn signals and brakes operate the lights in the bags and I do not want to take them off the motorcycle. The windshield is new and not scratched. The tires were used for one summer only and are in very good shape. It has highway pegs. The brakes are good with no leaks. All lights and electrics are in good shape. Everything works properly. What Is Wrong I have mentioned the engine bogging around 3000-3500 rpm. The seat has a very small tear (about 1/4 inch) where my son lowered the attic door on it 5 years ago. The rip has not gotten any worse. The underside of the back of the seat is torn on the bottom of the pan. It is taped and does not show unless you look for it. There are a couple very small dents on the tank and another small one on the front fender. That is all that I know of that is wrong. It needs to warm up when you first start it up. Again I would suspect this is carburetor related. I want you to know what is wrong so you will not be surprised when you get it. I try not to misrepresent what I sell. My feedback shows it!
