Vehicle Detail
You are looking at my 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S. I have owned this car for about 6 years now and everything you see here I did myself over the years. The number one question that people ask me: "Why sell it after so long?" The Simple answer: I'm just burnt out on the project. The car started out bone stock 6 years ago. I have done A LOT of work to it but I just don't have the desire to continue. I will be more than happy to answer ANY and ALL questions about the car. The reserve is set high enough to make me happy but lower than most true running GT-S' sell for on eBay. The winning bidder will get an email from me shortly after the auction ends with my phone number and will be required to call me within 48 hours of auction end to setup a pickup date. Below the spec list are more pictures and a video of me driving the car that I shot today with my iphone 4. Its shaky, but its because I was driving with one hand and recording with the other. The Pros: The car runs and drives, has a CLEAR TITLE in hand, and a decent list of essential mods when restoring one of these (Listed Below). Including an extra JDM 4AGZE Short block (Not pictured, but included with the car). It has current Texas Tags and Inspection. The Cons: The motor is STOCK and has about 230k miles on it. It Burns & Leaks oil. If you drive it everyday like I have been lately, you will put 1-2 qts in it a week. It will need a timing belt soon. I have one, but haven't installed it yet. The headlights are disconnected to stay in the up position. They DO work, but one won't flip up if you flip it down. Its LOUD, you can't hold a conversation in it. Straight 2.5" cat-less exhaust and almost NO interior. It was originally designed to be a race car, not a daily. The clear is peeling from sun damage. I repainted the car Panda Red about 4 years ago using the "Absolutely Red" paint code from an 00+ Celica. You could sand it down where its peeling, touch it up and re-clear the car and it would look new again. I will include the CD player and speakers IF the auction goes $200 above the reserve. Its all brand new and I'd like to put it in my next car, so if the auction doesn't get that high above the reserve but you want the CD player, offer me the rest when you pick up the car and I'll leave it in there. UPDATE: I WILL CONSIDER TRADING STRAIGHT ACROSS FOR A CLEAN DAILY DRIVER, MUST HAVE A/C, CARS ONLY, NO TRUCKS or SUVS, PREFERABLY MANUAL TRANS. CONTACT ME WITH WHAT YOU HAVE AND IF IM INTERESTED, YOU CAN BID AND I WILL END THE AUCTION EARLY MAKING YOU THE HIGH BIDDER.
