Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1995 Subaru Impreza L. I bought this car from a friend that needed some cash to move off to college. Its a little beat up and needs a little work to be reliable but runs and drives as is. The Pros: It does crank, Run and Drive. It is AWD and the drivetrain functions well without any noticable noise. The clutch and transmission work flawlessly. The car has never been modified and has current Texas tags and Inspection. I have CLEAR title in hand. The Cons: The engine runs rough and possibly has weak compression. I drove the car across town when I bought it (about 20 miles). It feels somewhat powerless and burns a bit of oil. Also, the radiator fan is either broken or frozen up which will cause it to overheat. It didn't overheat when I was driving it, but I drove it home at night and cranked it the next day, taking notice that the fan never kicked on after letting it warm up. It also needs shifter bushings pretty bad, you have to feel for the gears, otherwise every gear feels like neutral. This would make a GREAT rally car project or even just a cheap daily project. You can get these EJ18 engines on the Subaru forums for $200 all day long. Maybe even do an STi conversion? You can also gut and weld the up the center diff and make it into a fun drift car. Very inexpensive Impreza to modify. I'm trying to get out from under my project at the moment or I would gut it and make it into a rally car myself. Winning bidder will receive an email from me shortly after auction ends with my phone number. You will be required to call me within 48 hours of auction end to arrange pick up. This vehicle will need to be trailered unless you live locally. If you have any questions, just ask! Here's a video of me cranking the car and a few detailed pictures:
