Vehicle Detail
A beautiful 1975 Corvette convertible with very rare paint code 42, bright green. 1975 convertibles were very low build numbers with less than 200 in bright green, then combine the 4 speed with AC options to further reduce the build numbers, which makes this car exceptional. The car has been stored in a heated garage for the last 6 years and has always been stored inside The car was restored about 3 years ago by a corvette specialist that brought the body and paint to superb condition. The lines on the car were all matched. All parts were painted separately and then assembled, The body is better than new. This is a no accident body with all of its original pieces including the hardtop. The paint is almost perfect, you will have to look hard to find any defects. There are some pinholes in the door jams but the outside is beautiful. Take a look at the #2 picture which is darker than the others. I included this one so you can see how well this body has been done. The shadows show the perfection of the paint and body as the shadows fade to the body lines, not your average paint job, an exceptional one for an exceptional car. For corvette purists, fiberglas bumpers were used instead of urethane to increase rigidity of the body and make a smoother line. All new seals were installed. There are no cracks or spider webs in the body. There is a small separation of chrome trim on the hardtop There is a new convertible top but it has hardly been used. The hardtop has been on or the top was down most of the time. It has been stored in a heated garage. The emblems are new. The bottom is as nice as the top, the car has never seen snow or salt. It has not seen rain since I bought it in 2004 The interior is nice, mostly original with new carpet and console. The drivers seat and door panels do show some wear. There is a crack in the right door panel on the arm rest. The lower left dash pad has a crack, I have included a new one which is a $300 item for installation The cars runs and drives like a new one. It is very smooth and handles very well. The tires have under 2000 miles The radio only works on AM, the e-brake warning light stays on and the clock does not work. I have never tried the AC, it is all there but will need charged. Everything else works well. All lights, turn signals, horn, e-brake all work, the car has been well maintained Passes MA inspection. If you win this auction, consider a closed truck for shipping to preserve the beautiful paint.
