Volvo 240 4-door sedan with power doors/windows and manual functioning watertight sunroof. 1991 model, my daily driver. Dark green exterior, cafe cloth interior, black dash. Automatic transmission and standard Volvo inline 4-cyl, good gas milage. This vehicle has been garaged during the winter and has almost no rust, save a small bit low on the driver's side door. Engine runs and idles great, no leaks, has always been properly maintained according to service and owners' manual, heater & power-everything works great (including heated seats). Also, I'm a member of Volvoforums.com so I followed all the tips and tricks (i.e. cleaned the flame trap) and I performed a thorough tune-up this year, new plugs, wires, cap/rotor, air filter and such. This is a great car; the 240s are legendarily reliable and it will serve you well for years to come. Very safe too- the 1990-1994 Volvo 240s were one of the safest cars in America during that time period. Loud ticking lifter noise (common to 240s), and of course these engines last for-ever! Tranny shifts well, solid body, no radio (has door speakers) but no surprises either. Small issues to be addressed: tires are old & could use a new set, rear shocks are soft & could use eventual replacement, high beams and clock on dash not working, turn signals need help turning off, tiny 2" crack in windshield at bottom, antenna has a little tape on it. That's it. Minor dings here and there but it is in great driving condition.
