This rare triple original color combination was only offered to ELITE Mercedes Benz dealerships with about 110+/- being sold in the U.S. You may lookup MB Statistics 1977 on google looking for the 107 chasis. The 450 SL is a Single overhead cam VS. the Dual Overhead cam and problematic MB 380SL. The engine runs great, no oil smoke and no leaks. The engine starts quick and has run 100mph plus and handles like a true roadster. Needs some minor repair. The paint and rear wheel over wheels needs to be repainted and repaired. Minor other lite rust and repair on driver front fender.(see pictures) A New exhaust sytem was just installed and the convertible top is very very good condition, also black. The removeable hard top comes off and on easily for that true roadster feel. The electrical antenna goes up/down manually or with radio. The CD/am-fm cd player nr. This is a TRUE Collector's Car. No 1st time MB buyers need bid. The roadster needs some tlc only a real MB lover would apprecaite. The speedometer works the odometer stopped at 117,342k works intemittently, new gear repair $150.00. The SL body alone is worth $5k. Winshield wipers work all speeds. Heater fan works. Needs new A/C belt cost about $29.00. The BBS wheels are oversized with 15" whls and .The tires have 75% wear left on them and really hug the raod. The driver's side seat has a tear and can be repaired for less than $100. by a repair shop. The idler arms are a bit loose and can be replaced by www.azautihaus.com for $68.00 each. The new paint and repair with clearcoat sprayover was quoted at $1,200.00 for the entire car back to perfect condition. Please ask any questions before bidding.
