Please read ALL terms prior to bidding and if you have any questions, please contact me. Up for auction is a 1981 Corvette, 4 speed car. This is a extremely nice, well maintained example of a 4 speed Corvette. This is a 3 owner car with 21,564 original Miles Exterior: Paint. The color on this car is stunning Autumn Red, one of 1505 Corvettes painted this color in 1981. Most Autumn red cars were two tone which makes this single color car even more rare. Factor in the 4 speed and you have an extrememly rare and desireable Corvette. This is a Bowling Green built car which was originally painted with the base coat, clear coat technology. The car has been repainted as early BC/CC cars had paint issues. It is not known if this was a warranty repaint or not, but it clearly was a high quality repaint on a no hit body. The body is beautiful with no stress cracks. There are a few stone chips down low and some light scratched on the drivers T-top and one small scratch on the hood. The imperfections are so slight they will not show up on the camera. Glass: All glass appears to be original and is in excellent condition Weatherstripping. All weatherstripping is in excellent condition, the door seals are near perfect. Lights and lenses: All lights and lenses are in excellent condition and proper working order. The headlights go up and down properly. Interior: The Interior is matching Medium Red Leather. The interior is near perfect with no visible signs of wear. All gauges work properly. There is no discoloration in any of the panels. The fit and finish of all panels is very good. Drive train: The drive train is 100% complete and numbers matching and all components appear to be original. At some point the intake manifold was painted silver and the master brake resivour cover was replaced with a chrome piece. The original fiberglass distributor cover is not on the car but will be included with the sale. All emmision control equipment is in place.The transmission shifts effortlessly. There is no chatter in the rear end indicating proper maintainence through the years. The exhaust is original, including the catalydic converter. Frame and Suspension: The frame is near perfect with no rust or scale. The frame still retains most of its original black paint. All suspension components appear to be original. This car drives and tracks like a brand new car. If you were fortunate enough to drive a Vette of vintage when new, then you know how beautifully these cars drive. The car handles like it is on rails. No squeaks, rattles, clunks, etc. Wheels and Tires: Wheels: Original Corvette slotted aluminum rims in very good condition. No curb rash or heavy pitting. A few slight spots starting that could be sanded out easily.
