Vehicle Detail

1973 Triumph TR6 Great Driver and Low Reserve! I have posted this car for my brother and the car is located in Alpena, MI. You can also view the car on youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmE2e4oqYno 101K miles, 4spd, little rust, very solid frame, great mechanical shape, comes with Factory Hard Top(no headliner though), tonneau cover, and many extra parts including; short block, bare cyl. head, gas tank, working Overdrive unit, and many more. The interior and paint are starting to show some wear. The car has a 4 speed non-overdrive transmission, but is all setup for the overdrive. The engine was rebuilt about 40k mile ago and has been tuned to bring it close to its European specifications about 35K miles ago. Tuned areas; re-curved distributor, re-curved carburetor needles, ported non-heated intake manifold, 9.4 to 1 compression ratio, modified combustion chamber, and Monza exhaust header. I will include a copy of the articles that I used as a guide to these changes. My brother restored the car 17 years ago and maintained it since that time as a great daily driver, and it still is like that today! From 20 feet away the car looks great, but when you get closer you will notice some rust starting to show(all of which is described below), and imperfection and wear in the paint job. The car looks all original except for; Jaguar style seats, wood trim on doors, European spec. control knobs, exhaust system, and center console ignition switch. Mechanically, it is in great condition with no slop in the steering (one of his pet peeves), tight suspension with all bushings (urethane in the rear) and joints being replaced at least once by him. The car has not been drive in the rain for the last 10 years and the last time it sat outdoors was while he was trying to sell it last year (but put back in the garage with any threat of rain) and that was the first time in over 12 years. About the only thing the car needs soon is a set of tires. The current tires are down to the wear marks. Body and Frame Condition: There is some bondo in the rear LH fender just above the rear tail light, some on the center of this fender that I would guess was used to fix a dent from the early in the cars life, and some just behind the door on the same fender to smooth over a weld patch. The car is very solid with some rust just starting to develop. There was no rust when I restored it 17 years ago. Current rust spot are: behind the doors on the rear fenders, above the rear LH tail light (currently masked by bondo), above the head lights on the front fenders, and low on the rear apron. There were some rust holes in the passenger floor board and has been since cut out and a patch panel welded in. The Driver side floor is getting a little thin wear the driver heel sites. In the engine compartment there is some rust by the battery and a spot over the RH front fender well. The frame is in excellent shape! With only surface rust in some very small spots. The frame has added reinforcement by the differential mounts to strengthen the mounting pins, a common week spot on the TR6s. This is a driver’s car that is solid, run and drives better then new, and looks great from 20 feet away You can contact my brother by phone or email: Call: 989.464.2018 Leave a message if no answer cumminstechnology@gmail.com
