Vehicle Detail
I bought this car 12 years ago and have done nothing with it. It sat in inside storage for 11 years and for the last year it has been outside. The last year has done a number on the interior. The interior is toast. I would imagine that anyone buying this would replace the inside and this car would be pretty cool for the warm months. There are a couple catalog company's that specialize in the z series cars and the whole interior can be replaced good as new. I have included the interior photo's of the baked and dried up interior, as I wish not to mislead anyone of the true condition of it. I could have covered the seats, the dash and the hatchback up with covers and carpet, but that just wouldn't be right. I've been on the losing end of that stick before. So, to be clear. This car runs and drives very well and have little doubt that is may pass state inspections, but when I got it back from my mechanic after replacing the ignition for me, as I lost my keys, the clutch cable broke. TO BE CLEAR THE CLUTCH CABLE IS BROKEN SO IT DOESN'T SHIFT RIGHT NOW. BUT IT RUNS AND DRIVES ALOT BETTER THAN IT LOOKS, BEFORE IT CABLE BROKE. The engine just needed some new fuel, new battery and It started right up after all these years. In short, this car would be an awesome summer ride for a young adult to tinker with and enjoy the T-tops in the summer sun. Like I said, cover the seats and the trunk floor and this car would be usable by any young kid. I had lots of fun in one of these when I was in high school.Feel free to email me any questions, but basically the pictures should tell you what your getting pretty well.I assume if your looking at this listing you are familiar with what this car has, so I wont list them.I'm just looking to recover my mechanic costs on this, so the reserve is very very low and I would be able to deliver this to the buyer if within 100 miles of Boston, for a fee.thanksOn Aug-11-10 at 21:33:31 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple things I want to clear up on the listing. First is, this car does have the T-roofs and they do not leak. Second, I apparently was mistaken in calling the clutch problem a broken cable. I'm unfamiliar with the mechanics of this vehicle as I have done nothing with it but move it from inside storage to inside storage over the years. The clutch just broke two months ago, on my last move from my mechanics. They replaced the ignition for me as I had to brake the old one when I lost my keys. I do not have knowledge of the cost to fix it. My understanding now is that it may be some kind of hydraulic hose that let go. Third thing is, that I do presently have a duplicate title from Ohio, because I lost the old one along with the Keys about three years ago. Lastly. The odometer on my clearly shows 17k after it turned over from 100k so that make 117k miles. I believe there was a mistake made by the auction house in the year 2000, at which point the odometer was read at 174k with the inclusion of the 1/10 of a mile dial.(which looks no different than the others to distinguish it apart from the others). Either way, It's still over a 100k miles on it and it probably doesn't make any difference to anyone, considering the price it's selling for and the work it needs done on the interior. I know everyone bidding on it knows it's not a show car, but I just want to be as upfront with everyone as possible. My goal is just to sell a nice looking(from the outside) and nice running, full of potential sports car to someone who can spend the time on it, it may need. Thanks for your consideration, and it looks like someone's buying it in a couple of days. Good LuckFeel free to ask any questions, I'm quick to reply.
