1978 Honda CX500

Too many motorcycles and limited garage space are forcing this sale. I have been working on and off on this bike for the last 2 or 3 years, and have it running and operating quite nicely. The CX500 is a very functional utilitarian type bike. It's water-cooled Vtwin engine was a first for Honda, and the bike was raved about by those looking for a practical bike. I have rebuilt and cleaned the carbs, painted the frame and body (although the gas tank has seen some gas damage), purchased and installed a new exhaust system, installed a fairing and front directionals, put flat bars from a CB750 on, installed new plugs, adjusted valves, and gone through the whole bike to ensure it will be a good daily driver. Currently, the CX could use new tires as the old ones are cracked and I would not trust them for longer trips, exhaust guards (which I have), some electrical work (Temp sensor does not work), and new levers. The Tach also is none functioning. This bike runs nicely and could be finished up with little effort.
