Vehicle Detail
Thank you for looking! The car DOES NOT have the roof rack anymore. It has been sold. The engine needs a new head gasket. The gasket failed while the engine was idling in the garage. I really don't think any other engine damage was done. I need to sell this car as I have a baby on the way (due in February!) AND I am starting a new business in less than a month. The inside of the car is very clean. Speedo works, fuel gauge works, horn doesn't work, radio doesn't work, blower fans work. The body has some rust on the rocker panels. It has a completely restored gas tank (spent 300 bucks on), new gas lines, rebuilt carb. The car isn't perfect. It has a five speed installed. Shipping will probably be $300 to $400. If you don't like the car, ship it back and get 100 percent of your bid back (you have to pay shipping both ways, though). Clean title. Thank you for looking and email me with any questions. On Aug-03-10 at 13:29:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello again! I'm not going to end the auction early. The car will be sold to the highest bidder. Hopefully the highest bid is $100,000...but I don't think it will be. What's the car worth? Not really sure. It has been my car for a number of years and I loved driving it and striking up conversations with people. I don't have the time to deal with the head gasket, so if you can fix it, great. All of my friends, and even my wife, don't want me to sell the car. I have too many irons in the fire and it has to go. Thanks for looking/bidding! I will help out 100 percent with getting it shipped. On Aug-06-10 at 23:43:50 PDT, seller added the following information: It started missing while it was running in the garage. I found antifreeze in the oil after I shut it off. When it sells to the highest bidder, I will drain the oil and probably get it running again to drive it onto the shipping trailer. The reason I haven't fixed it is because I have seven other cars, ten motorcycles, a ton of other projects. I was going to put it on ebay right before the gasket failed, because it was a great running car then, but then the gasket went. I realized I wouldn't get the amount of money I would've gotten if the gasket was good, so I sat on it. But now decided to just get rid of it and have someone own it who knew how to do this. I don't have the time, or the patience. It is basically the only major thing this car needs.
