Vehicle Detail

1997 Honda Accord SE...I bought this Accord SE in 1998 for a little over $19,000 when it had 22,000 miles on it. I am the second owner and have been since the before mentioned 1998. It's the SE coupe body style and has A/C, Automatic Transmission, and the power moonroof which works well and does not leak and has never leaked. (like all Hondas I have owned.) It has never left me stranded and I have had the timing belt and water pump changed at 100,000 miles as is required by scheduled maintenance. It starts easily and shifts great..the motor sounds just like a well oiled sewing machine. I have used Castrol oil in it and the mechanic that changed my timing belt asked what oil I used as he said the top side of the engine was spoltless when he removed the valve cover. I just put four new tires on in the spring. The lights, turn signals, brakes, AC, power steeing, Automatic Transmission, heater, Clarion Stereo all work with no problems. The negatives I will list in full disclosure for a thirteen year old car: The power mirrors are not working and I just manually reach out and set them how I want them like the cars of old. The security system is acting funky and if you lock the doors, sometimes the remote won't open it and if you use the key to open the doors the alarm will go off. I just have not been locking my doors and noone has messed with anything but I am guessing it's a simple problem or the system can just be unplugged and the doors locked manually. There is some rust in the rear quarter panels which seems to affect most Hondas, I have included pictures of both sides. I had a new exhaust system put on and the check engine light came on and the local Autozone scanned the code and said it was the O2 sensor...there was a new one installed with the exhaust and the Autozone guy said they probably just did not clear the code...the Check Engine light is now off and has not came back on since he cleared it. About five years ago a WalMart shopping cart hit the left front fender at the parking/headlight area and bent the very front part of the fender a bit and dislodged the turn signal but it's been fine ever since and I have not noticed any problems with it. I hit a deer in 2003 and the insurance company replaced the front bumper and fender, which is showing up on the AutoCheck here on the listing. I also have the CarFax report that I paid 35 bucks for that I would show you if you'd like. All in all it's a good car that I have owner for almost 12 years and I just have too many cars right now so it's time to let someone else drive this reliable Honda. I will not ship this car and buyer to please pay by cash. Please email me with any other questions and good luck with your bidding! You won't be disappointed.
