Up for sale is my 1974 F-350 Super Camper Special. this has got to be the toughest truck Ford Built in the 70's. I've owned this truck for more than 10 yrs. I bought it from a local carpenter who used it as his personal truck. When I bought it, it had no oil pressure, no brakes, bearings in the rear end were shot, and the transmission would not go in gear until it warmed up. Since then I had the C6 A/T rebuilt, replaced all the bearings(front & rear), all new brakes, new bushings in the front end, new radiator($600 had to order one for a school bus to match the factory one) new dual exhaust (front to back) and did a freshening up of the engine. New main bearings, oil pump (high volume), gaskets, timing set, water pump, Edelbrock carburetor, distributor, and ignition parts. I also had the interior repainted, seat recovered, new dash pad, and new floor mat with insulation. Now all this was done 10 yrs ago. Truck ran real strong until the high volume oil pump (that I was warned not to use) started to cause the (new) main seal to leak. Bought a solenoid from Advance Auto and it shorted out causing the new 1000 cca battery to turn over the engine continuous until I could unhook the battery terminal. It made it jump timing and burned up the new starter. Soon after I was diagnosed with AML (cancer). I never did anything else to the truck after it jumped time. Truck has been sitting for 3yrs now and like to see someone who has the time to fix it right or use it for parts for another Super Camper Special project. This truck doesn't have any rust holes just surface rust. I don't have the front bumper. I think I have the rear bumper but it was twisted a little on the end. Was going to have it fixed but my health has gone south so has the thought of having this truck restored. What I know that is wrong or broken is; windshield cranked (rock thrown from mower while sitting), AC has leaked down, one of the bed pockets is bent/broke now rusty from sitting, dent in the lower part of the bed on the passenger side, back bed panel bent in(friend used it and didn't tie his mower down), front passenger fender is pushed in a little around the fender well, all these are in the pictures. I have tried to tell it all but I know it's something I missed. So if you have any questions or need a pic of something not listed e-mail me I'm up all the time. Wife needs a car to commute in. The 454 K2500 4X4 suburban is a little hard on gas! May consider a trade. Just let me know what you have I been horse trading since I was 10. Due to my health I'm limited to what I can do far as shipping but can help. Truck can sit where its at now for as long as needed. But can't be responsible for any damage that may occur once its sold. ALL THIS TRUCK NEEDS TO RUN AGAIN IS ANOTHER SOLENOID, STARTER, AND RESET THE TIMING CHAIN. THIS IS NOT JUNK!!!!! THIS IS A REAL NICE TRUCK TO FINISH AND VERY RARE. THIS TRUCK WAS ONE OF THE FIRST ONES BUILT IN 1974. IT HAS EVERY OPTION OFFERED. FORD DIDN'T OFFER THE XLT PACKAGE UNTIL THE FALL OF '74 THIS TRUCK WAS BUILT IN APRIL. I HAVE HAD 5000LBS IN THE BED. NEVER KNEW IT WAS THERE AND THE REAR SPRINGS NEVER MOVED. A REAL WORK HORSE!!! WHEN I DROVE IT THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS TRYING NOT TO SMOKE THE TIRES WHEN STARTING OUT. IT HAS THE 3:73 DANA REAR END. On Jul-26-10 at 16:51:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Couldn't find the title must have gotten lost in the move. Went to the DMV and sent off for another. They said it could be 2-4 weeks before it arrives in the mail. Hope this doesn't change your mind about buying this truck but I wanted it known so if you win and send the deposit I'll wait for the rest until I have the title in hand. Thanks
