Vehicle Detail
straightupcycles Store 1977 Suzuki RM 370 Dirt Bike I'm certainly not an expert on vintage Suzuki dirt bikes, but this old RM 370 was practically given to me. I wish I could keep it but unfortunately I do not have the time or space for it. I don't know much about it but I will try my best to describe this bike the best I can. It is a Suzuki RM 370 dirt bike. I believe it is either a 1977 or a 1976 model. The frame number is RM370-20201 and the engine number is RM370 20010. (hopefully, there are some Suzuki experts out there who will know the exact year by the vin number). First, I will list the minuses as I see them...... This motorcycle has been sitting idle in storage collecting dust since 2002. This bike is what I would consider to be a "barn fresh bike". I am selling it just the way I got it.....as-is. While this bike was sitting in storage, the left side cover and back muffler were lost (not sure why). The previous owner said this motorcycle ran good when he parked it 8 years ago and then he simply lost interest in it. From what I can see, the seat is starting to show some weather cracking and the gas tank has a few small dents & dings here and there. Now......having said all that, here are some of the pluses....Although this bike is 33 years old and obviously not perfect, just out of curiosity, I kicked the motor over a couple of times and it fired right up (scared me half to death). It ran for a few seconds and then I shut it off. It is very loud since it does not have the silencer on the back. I am guessing that for the right vintage enthusiast, this old Suzuki could be up and running again with some mechanical TLC. It is also a possibility that this Suzuki could be an excellent start for a full out restoration project. I have taken several detailed pictures of this bike so that you can see for yourself its overall condition. My opening bid is $250.00 with no reserve. If you are not mechanical, petty, or do not understand what as-is means, please do not bid on this motorcycle. If you have zero feedback, contact me first or your bid will be canceled and you will be blocked from further bids. I reserve the right to cancel any bidder who does not follow the terms of this description. I only want the winning bidder to be as happy as I was when I first saw it. If this bike does not sell, I will have a friend of mine get it going and I will re-list it for sale in the fall. This bike does not have a title with it so I will give the winning bidder a bill of sale. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Terms of Sale:The winning bidder is to pay a non-refundable $250.00 deposit through PayPal within 48 hours of the auction end. Once the deposit has been paid, the winning bidder then has an additional 5 days to pay the remaining balance in full. The remaining balance can also be paid through Paypal or can be paid in cash when the motorcycle is picked up. Terms of Pick Up:The winning bidder is solely responsible for picking up this dirt bike. I can not and will not ship it anywhere. I absolutely will not disassemble, transport, or create this bike. I will however gladly assist your shipper, but all shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the winning bidder. Do not bid on this bike unless you can pick it up or have it picked up for you. Thank you.
