This listing is for a 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible Well, I've never used the phrase "cute as a bug's ear " in an eBay description for any car I have listed on Ebay but that is what I have to say about this Corvair !! It has the 164 cid 6 cyl. engine and automatic transmission. This Corvair draws a lot of attention and compliments wherever I go with it. I guess it is unusual to see a vintage Corvair like this being driven around town. The body is straight and very solid . The paint is a 7 on a 1-10 scale as it looks good from any distance. The chrome bumpers are in very nice condition and the stainless trim is not bad either. The seat upholstery , carpet and door panels are new. The top is not very old and is in good condition . I don't think you can get a nicer interior as this one has and it is a beautiful color combination. The underbody is solid and the floors have been replaced and done pretty well I might add. It has a very nice set of wide whitewall tires that are near new. The glass is good all around the car and the windows roll up and down with ease. Idiot lights, gas gauge and speedo/odometer work well also. The car runs and drives very good. The trans shifts well and the car drives with ease. What a fun little car to drive !! And it is a great price too !!! In summary , this car does not need a restoration , just a new owner and driver that will have a value priced little convertible !! I'm sure there will be little things to tinker with if you like that sort of thing, or just if you are the type that always likes to improve on what you have.
