Vehicle Detail
1985 Toyota Celica GT-S Convertible with 46 thousand original miles. This car has been used as the special interest vehicle that it is. It was purchased new from Lewis Toyota in Topeka, Kansas with an original MSRP of about $18,000. The purchaser lived about a mile from the dealer, then the car was purchased by president of the School board of the Topeka Kansas School district. I am the third owner, I wanted one of these cars back in 1985 but was a little pricey for budget. This car has been adult owned, driven, garage kept, and maintained in excellant condition. It would probably win it's class at any car show for which there is a class for it. It is in that nice of original condition with great paint, the top is in excellant condition, never been in the snow, very little rain and the interior with the "recaro seats" in excellant shape. I have the original manuals and paperwork from the purchase of the car when new. I have not owned the car long, but know both of the previous owners. I bought it kinda on a whim as I always wanted one and have six special interest cars, not counting my daily driver. I am buying a one owner 34,000 mile 2000 Lexus 400 to supliment my Dodge Ram Diesel for daily driving. Wife thinks 10 cars is at least one to many, so I chose this one to part with. The others are 1971 Cheyene Big Block, 1971 Nova ( my high school car), 1971 chevelle (my steet legal race car), 1974 F500 and 1940 Buick business coupe, both of which my father bought new. If you always wanted to own one of these or just want a very nice topless car for personal use, this would perfect for you. Everything on the car works as it should, as pictured the "parade boots" for the convertible are in perfect condition, there are no oil leaks anywhere. TIRES: The tires have about 60% tread but are more than 10 years old, they are just the second set on the car. I use the car for tooling around no more than 60 mph, but the car is happy cruising at 80 mph. I would suggest a new set of tires for someone that want to drive extened hiway miles. A set of the 225/60-14 tires can be has for about $300 Suspension: Is all original shocks, springs, and components. Replacement of these items is rather inexpensive if one disires. The only replacement parts on the car are a new rear glass and top, a muffler, and the cruise control unit. The list of equipment on this car is staggering: Air conditioning Automatic w/overdrive Power steering Power door locks Power windows Power convertible top AM FM Cassette Factory Stereo equilizer Factory Alarm system Factory Factory "recaro seats" with lumbar air adjuster Cruise control It truely is an amazing original car with enough ocasional driving for the car to be in top shape! Shipping, if someone would like to use one of the companys that ship cars all over the USA if assist the company.
