Chevy C 10 Truck"True Survivor" We have a "True Survivor" Chevy C 10 truck. This truck was last licensed in 2001 and has been sitting since shortly there after. It has the original orange paint and white interior with what we believe to be all original drive train. We are not experts on the 250 six cylinders so not sure what numbers to look for. We will be happy to try to find any numbers needed if you just tell us where to look. Since we bought the truck we have pumped out the old gas and cleaned up the carb it still loses prime a little and needs a small shot of gas to get her going, but then runs fine. I drove this truck around town and down the side roads to test drive it and it runs and drives very good. She needs the cob webs blown out on a longer run. ***********NO RESERVE*********** The engine is a 250 six cylinder and like I said before we cleaned out the old gas and cleaned up the carb. It has new points and plugs along with wires and distributor cap. The engine does not smoke or knock and seems to have plenty of compression. This is a running, driving truck that can be licensed with little money out of pocket. ***********NO RESERVE*********** The tranny is the ole' 3 on the tree. It shifts fine and goes smoothly in and out of gear. The clutch works great and grabs tight with no slipping or chatter. We ran the truck down the road at over 60 mph and nothing rattled. The body on this C 10 is in fair to good shape. The front clip is real nice, the grill and bumper are almost excellent. The hood is in great shape as well as the doors. The cab has the usual rust in the rockers but the pans are in decent shape. The bed has some denting in the passengers side but the drivers side is awesome. The inside of the bed has surface rust only and is not dented at all. The fender wells are solid. All the glass in the truck is excellent and the seat cleaned up like new. The dash is in wonderful shape and will only need minor attention to make it show ready. ***********NO RESERVE*********** The tires are bias ply so I know they have been on there a good long time, all four hold air great and only have minimal weather cracking. The brakes work but are a little sluggish. The only things we have found that don't work is the horn, the radio, and the interior lights, other that that it's a pretty sound ole' truck.
