2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4x4 Extended Cab Long bed *3rd Door *250k miles and counting (daily driven) *4x4 Works great *Newer load range E Michelin Tires *Locking differential *Towing package *Ice cold air Hi, I am selling my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, it is a 3/4 ton, rear leaf springs have been beefed up to hold more weight, the engine is a 6.0l vortec, starts right up runs smooth and has good power, tows very good. 4L80E transmission has been rebuilt a little over a year ago with heavy duty clutches. The truck has the 3rd door, gray cloth interior in exceptionally good shape (came out of 04 sierra) power drivers seat works good, power windows and locks, keyless entry, cd player plays and sounds good, all electronics work like they should, no check engine light, runs smooth starts quick, new battery about 9 months ago, new alternator about a year ago, Oil changes always keep up on, truck runs and drives extremely well. Never left me stranded, I have driven over 8k miles in past 2 months. It has locking differential in the rear, the 4x4 engages smoothly no problems, it has manual transfer case, pull a lever and it locks, no worrying on whether or not the electronics worth. The truck has a rubber mat floor for easier cleaning and no stains. The air conditioning blows ice cold, heat will burn you. The truck has a rear sliding window and tinted side windows. Transmission shifts good fluid is clean. Has a flowmaster (sound-a-like) exhaust. Has a good tone but not noticable in the cab, has superchips programmer that comes with it. Currently tuned for fuel economy but takes only a few minutes to switch to towing or performance. Michelin tires are newer load range E cost over $850 for the set of four. All the suspension looks good, truck steers straight doesnt pop or bang or rattle. Just set the cruise control and go. I would drive it across country. VERY SOLID TRUCK. Possibly needs attention: Truck is used and even though its mechanically sound it does have minor imperfections. First off the abs/brake light sometimes come on due to the RF wheel bearing sensor having an intermitt problem. bearing is good, no noise so i havent fixed it yet. The dash board has a spot where some paint chipped off (about the size of two quarters), The shocks looked old. Truck still rides good but I was going to replace them.., will use about a quart of oil every oil change (it is seeping from the oil pan gasket), front windshield has a tiny crack across one corner (hasnt spread). the rockers need to be paint. It IS NOT RUSTED THROUGH, not even soft just need to be resprayed or touched up paint flaked off. Has a small exhaust leak when cold, believe it is collector gasket. And for the worst. The bed was replaced with a black one and whoever did the paint did a very poor job of it. It still shines but some of the black is coming through and there are drips.
