1966 Plymouth Belvedere Up for bids we have a 1966 Plymouth Belvedere 4 door sedan. This is an all original one owner car. The car was bought locally and has more than likely never been out of the surrounding area. The Gentleman that owned the car has had some health issues for some time and can no longer drive so the car went up for sale. We have some documentation on the car but our biggest surprise was to pop the hood and find the original service metal card in a holder riveted to the back side of the radiator support. The car shows 79000 miles but the odometer does not appear to be working. I personally drove the car home and it runs and drives like a dream. ***********NO RESERVE*********** The engine is the Plymouth Slant 6, it starts and idles smooth. The alternator gauge works good and charges the battery fine. The Temperature gauge works good and the ole' car never even tried to get hot driving almost 40 miles to get home in 95 degree weather. The engine is complete with Holley 1 barrel carb, and everything in the engine compartment is as it is supposed to be from Chrysler. I doubt seriously if this car has ever had a hard day of running its entire life. It has been sitting for almost 3 years so we cleaned the plugs and carb to make sure it would come to life. ***********NO RESERVE*********** The Tranny is the famous 3 on the tree. The clutch is strong and goes smoothly into all gears. The clutch doesn't slip or jerk. Going through the gears the car pulls with plenty of power and is very smooth, it goes up to a nice cruising speed with no shimmy or shake. The body is a baby blue color and cleans up pretty nice, there is some rust behind the front fender and in the rear quarters., but the rest of the car is pretty solid. The floor pans are solid as well as the doors and quarters. All glass is good with only minor fogging. Here is what works and what doesn't. The headlights and taillights work, the wipers work, the fan motor works, the interior lights work, even the dome light works. the horn works, the brakes stop the car fine but pull a little right, the speedometer works, the amp gauge works, the temp gauge works! The fuel gauge doesn't seem to but we have only put in a couple of gallons of fuel in it, the cigarette lighter looks like it has never been used. The tires are fair and made the journey home no problem but there is some weather cracking. ***********NO RESERVE*********** The car is a great project and an easy one. It will take very little to have a great cruiser or parade car. There is NO RESERVE and the starting bid is fair. Please only serious buyers as we are serious sellers!
