1996 Mark 3 Golf GTI Relisted due to non-paying bidder. If you're not going to pay don't bid! Golf GTI mark 3's are getting hard to find!!! Car runs and drives but automatic transmission needs attention (Delayed shifting between gears) If I shift it manually there is no problem. Positive engagement of all gears, no slipping. It did this once before and changing the Trans oil and filter and replacing transmission computer fixed the problem, maybe it will again. GTI has been parked in my garage for 2 yrs. It has been started and "exercised" regularly, so things don't seize up from sitting around. This GTI is in GREAT condition !!! Strut towers solid . Under body is solid. Doors and fenders are solid. Even the rear hatch is solid and rust free. (very rare) No rust around rear license plate bucket. There is a dent in drivers door below mirror caused by someone backing into my open door causing it to swing open far enough to hit the front fender. (easy fix) It broke the door stop which has been repaired. No other damage to door or fender. The rest of the body is in Great condition. Roof and hood have scratches from ice and snow sliding off. GTI has been very well maintained. I installed some very nice glass lens, Depo, E-code headlights Engine runs great, doesn't burn any oil, doesn't leak oil. Struts and shocks are good Brakes are good, Master cylinder has been replaced. Steering tight and good Front end aligned just before it was parked Exhaust is good All door seals are in good condition All glass is good All body molding is there and good. It has a little rust on the rocker panels - shown in pic's. Moonroof does not work, Rain got into the track and froze. Unknowing, I tried to open it, something snapped. No stereo or speakers installed broken tail light, drivers side Needs new tires Driver seat has a small wear hole from getting in and out of car. Interior needs a good cleaning but in good shape.
