Vehicle Detail

Hi, Up for sale is a 1970 VW Squareback survivor. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION! I bought this car off Ebay a couple of years back and have worked on it off and on. The info I had on this car was that it was owned by an older couple, they parked it and it sat for some 10 years. I immediately removed the gas tank and brought to a local radiatior shop and had relined. I then place all new gas lines. The motor seized so I put in a type 1 motor. I could not get the original FI to work well so I went with Dual Weber ICT's. I was having probs w them so sent them to texas to get rebushed. The car starts right up and drives well. Lights and brakes work well. Blinkers work. Reverse lights and license plate lights and gas guage do not work. I bought this car because it had not been abused and hashed up. As you see it is in very good original condition. No RUST. I tried to give detailed pics to the best of my ability to explain the car for me. The floor boards are great. I looks to be original paint. I have been buffing on it and it is coming out nice. It still needs more buffing I am a novice. The glass is good. There are also things missing like dashpad, certain seals, air cleaners etc. Included is all the chrome except for 1 piece. A new engine bay seal. A new ebrake cable. I only replaced the one that was broke. I put a new caliper on the front left because it was seized. It does drip oil after a drive, runs pretty good but needs some fine tuning. The generator light is on. I just put in a new battery but it will prob need a new generator. There are lots of little dents and things that need to be fixed. Nothing Serious. Typically oil is put in the large oil resevoir in the back, but since this is a type 1 motor it will be put in thru the breather. When I bought this there was no title. The seller gave me what I needed to get it. I had the car inspected by Washington DMV and they issued me a registration and plates. I have to have the car 3 years after the inspection to get the title. Three years will happen summer of 2012. When you get the car the time does not start over but will carry over to you. You take the bill of sale and registration to your DMV and no prob. This car is being sold as is with no warranty. If you have excessive negative feed back of less that 10 feedback please contact me prior to bidding or I will just delete your bid. A $250 non refundable deposit with Paypal is due within 72 hrs of winning bid or your bid will be cancelled. Balance is due within 5 days of winning bid. I can hold the car for 2-3 weeks if needed. This car will need to be towed to be safe. Although this car is in good shape it will still need some work to be a daily driver. I have only driven it on multiple occasions around town and to the DMV. No long roadtrips to get a true feel. I have multiple projects so time to go. I will miss it. Good luck and happy bidding! Rodney
