Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1994 S-10 Blazer Tahoe. This is a daily driver for me and has been used since June 21 to commute back and forth from Norwalk, WI to Des Moines, IA as I have accepted a new job, am moving away from the area and have been given a company car. I purchased it from my brother who lives in Sturgis, SD in December 2009 in order to have a vehicle to drive to work during the winter. It has been most reliable for me and I do not hesitate to drive it to Des Moines, IA on Sunday night and back to Wisconsin on Friday night. However, it is a 1994 so it isn't without issues. Here they are: Needs a new wiper switch. The detente no longer works and the wipers pretty much do what they want but they do come on. They're just on high all the time. My brother wired the windshield washer from the rear window to the front because the front switch doesn't work correctly. You can wash the windshield but you have to push the button for the wash on the back window. It has an exhaust leak that appears to be from the donut gasket coming off the manifold. A new water pump was installed a few years ago and it has a high pitched whine to it. It has since the pump was new but it cools fine and does not overheat or bleed antifreeze. The A/C stopped working a few weeks ago. The vent system is vacuum actuated and there is a leak (likely a broken vacuum line) behind the switch panel that I haven't bothered to fix. The ABS light stays on and the ABS doesn't work---I hate ABS anyway so it doesn't bother me. It needs new shocks and brake pads will be needed soon but it still stops just fine. The brakes are a little noisy, however. They don't squeek much but they do rattle a little on bumpy roads. There is some surface rust that I have included in the photographs but the body is surprisingly clean. I hit a turkey a few months ago and it left a dent in the hood and cracks in the plastic grill. The hood release handle broke and it has to be opened 'differently'. I have replaced the fuel filter, the cap and rotor, plug wires and plugs. The oil change has about 2,000 miles on it and that is the second oil change since I have owned it. It has not used any oil between changes. It runs like a top. 4WD works great and the transmission shifts perfectly. The interior is clean and in good shape. Tires are about half way worn but have been rotated regularly. I've really considered keeping this vehicle but logistically it's too difficult to do because of my move. This would be a great first vehicle for your kid, a good winter vehicle or a good project truck. I offer no warranty. It is to be sold as is to the highest bidder. Bids start at $500.00. I won't have access to my computer very often but will answer your questions as soon as I can. Please be patient. If you'd like to see the vehicle...ask...it can be arranged. It is for sale locally so I reserve the right to pull this listing at any time.
