1972 Gran Torino 2 door Coupe. The previous owner removed the engine and transmission some time in the mid-to-late 1990s. The car was stored in a barn with the windows open, which allowed a large build up of dirt, moisture, and mold in the interior compartment. The interior will need to be replaced. Although the dash pad is covered in dirt and mold it does not appear to have any cracks. Exterior of the vehicle is in good condition for a 1972 Torino. Amazingly the grille and grille surround have not been broken and there is only a small nick in the stainless around the grille opening. There is a one and half inch rusted hole in the corner of the right rear quarter panel right behind the tire (as shown in picture). There is also rust beginning to form in the lower corner of the driver's side (left) door. The vinyl top has started to peel and there are a few rust bubbles forming under the top. The floor boards are solid as is the trunk compartment. The front splash shield apron is dented as is the rear. There is a crack in the windshield. The pictures show a crease in the passenger door, but the crease is not as bad as the picture displays. It is very minor. Side-Note for High Bidder (Winner of Auction): At the time I purchased this vehicle it was my intention to restore the car, so I purchased a 1972 Torino 4-door hardtop for the drive-train (351 2V Cleveland) and X-code Transmission (Automatic). This vehicle can be purchased by the high bidder separately. Please note that the 1972 Torino 4-door is NOT being sold with the 1972 Gran Torino Coupe, unless purchased by the high bidder after the close of the auction. If the high bidder is not interested in the 1972 Torino 4-door I will list the car at a later date on ebay. Final Notes: The 1972 Gran Torino Coupe is sold as-is, where-is with no guarantees.
