Vehicle Detail

Mostly original 73 Bonnie in very good condition. Many sensible upgrades to make this bike a dependable rider to include: Resleeved Amals with new needle, needle jets, and main jets. New Air Filters. New tires. New AGM battery. Boyer Bransden electronic ignition for better starts and reliable sparks. New fork seals, gaitors, and 20w fork oil. Lo rise handlebars are comfortable and make steering through the curves a pure joy. Magura front brake master cylinder with braided steel brake line. Also new EBC brake pads make the front stopper do its job nicely. Magura clutch lever and front brake lever. I have a title for this bike, so you can get it titled and tagged in your respective state. The tank has an original patina. I like the original look of it, so I left it alone. The tach is currently not working(it needs a new cable, but no guarantee that will make it work) and neither the horn. What the bike is: a good looking, classic Bonnie(first year of the 750 engine and the 5 Speed gearbox) that runs great. This bike has loads of personality and always draws a crowd when parked amongst the cookie cutter Harleys and Jap sport bikes. It starts first kick from cold after the carbs are tickled, after that one kick with no carb fiddling. What it is not; a fully restored trailer queen that may or may not run. Please no emails from the "Triumph Police" telling me the mufflers are not original(I already know that) or any other niggling detail that is not to your liking. I don't tell you what I don't like about your Triumph(if you even have one), so don't bother nitpicking my Triumphs. Ok, glad that's out of the way. If you have less than 5 Ebay transactions or less than a 95% approval rating, please email me before bidding. Otherwise, I will cancel your bid. I will answer all questions promptly as possible via email. Thanks for looking and good luck with the bidding. Also, as I went to list this bike, I noticed I was given negative feedback for a bike I sold recently on Ebay. This guy is a whiner, please do not let this prevent you from bidding or buying this Bonneville. If you want a brand new, perfect bike, do NOT buy a vintage machine, buy a brand NEW bike ! If you want a bike that runs well, but WILL require a bit of tinkering from time to time, then you should buy a Triumph. Have the fun of enjoying these old bikes is the tinkering around part. If you don't like tinkering around and fixing them occasionally, then a vintage bike is not your cup of tea. Nuf said ! On Jul-10-10 at 08:51:18 PDT, seller added the following information:
