This BMW has been my mother's fair-weather car for the last several years. If I didn't already have too many cars of my own, I would be the next owner of this one. I've driven it on occasion and found it to be quite a pleasure to drive. In addition, I've been performing the maintenance on it, so I know its history and can vouch for its condition. The previous owner took great care of this car, as evidenced by the maintenance records. Driveline is a straight-6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. Brakes are in good condition, they were always serviced as needed. Tires are a matching set of Michelin Pilots, having ample tread remaining. Exhaust system is solid. New clutch and clutch release bearing. New timing belt. Interior is quite nice with the exception of wear/stains on floor mats, and two seams in the leather beginning to split (at top of rear seat along package tray). Seats are showing their age, but have been conditioned at intervals and are still comfortable. Shift knob is broken (does not affect driving). The paint is presentable, but some rust is forming. Rust around fuel door, along bottom of doors, in rocker panels. Power side-view mirrors. A/C system has a leak, but historically, a re-charge has kept the system working for the duration of a summer. Gauge cluster (I hear this is common) is fond of misbehaving. Fuel and temp gauges will sometimes register incorrectly at start-up, but soon correct themselves (does not affect driving).
