Vehicle Detail
Cars have been a lifelong passion or mine and when I see a great one like this in need of a little TLC I have been unable to refuse the call to restore them to their former glory. Having done this for 40 years, built 80 custom cars of my own design and restored who knows how many with a perfect show record of a trophy first time shown for every car I’ve done I’m pretty good at it and know how to pick the easy ones to do. I’m 63 wanting to retire and recovering from a stroke-so I’m seriously cleaning out the shop and selling things as they are-in the last two days I’ve sold a Black 1990 Eddie Bauer Bronco for $750 & a 1992 Cherokee limited for the same-both in decent though not perfect condition. Anyway about this car: It is what I call a 20/20 car in that it looks great from 20 feet away or going by at 20 miles an hour. The main issues are the seat leather, a couple of cracks in the right rear quarter panel and a small one on the hood. It has what was at one time a very nice base coat clear coat paint job (still looks nice except for the cracks), which could be blended in so you wouldn’t have to repaint the whole car. It runs & drives well other than a slight miss at some Rpm’s. The headlights, power windows, air conditioning, mirrors & locks all work well, and it steers and stops well. It has the optional L-98 engine with 250 horsepower, 10 to 1 compression, and 350 foot pounds of torque (as opposed to the base 240) and approximately $1,800 in original cost interior accessories in the power sport leather seats and electronic air conditioning. The owner’s manual and original top removal tool are with the car and the Sony Am/Fm cassette sounds great. It has 129,+++ miles on it (I love to drive it) and it can be enjoyed as is or upgraded with an upholstery kit and a bit of paint touch up into a really nice car. I think 91 corvettes will become one of the more collectable C-4 years because a styling makeover was the big news for the 1991 Corvette. A new look was overdue since it had been the same body shape since March 1983 when the C4 was first available. Eight years is long time for a car whose claim to fame is an exciting shape. The update included a new wraparound and integrated front turn signal - auxiliary lamp - cornering light - side marker light area. While not a drastic change, the upgrade somehow managed to make the whole car more up to date. The rear end was also changed to a more convex shape and had the squared taillights like the ZR-1, with the 3rd brake light in the body between the tailights instead of on the targa roof bar. If your lucky enough to win this aution contact is required with in 24 hours and a 20% downpayment is due in 2 days with the balance due with in 7 days of the auction end. I am a bonded Washington dealer so the purchaser is gauranteed good tittle and Washington residents will have to pay the appropriate state taxes and fees. Out of state purchasers will have no taxes or fees to pay, however will have to sign the appropriate documents for sale. Transportation at purchasers expense can be arranged anywhere in the world. I could use a road trip and would consider delivering it for expenses and a ticket home. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early; however if there is reasonable bidding would perfer to let the auction run. Thanks
