Autobianchi Biachina This car I don’t know much about the history but I do know the rarity and value of the unit. Searching the internet for parts yielded some success, but mostly the parts search turned into research and interest in the car and the history of how it and cars like it came to be made. First of all the owner knew not much about the car, not even the make or model, less was known the year, believed to be between 1957 to 1959. When I bought the car I didn’t know what it was either, but I thought it would be a fun project. I have equipped my garage restore the car with all tools I thought to handle the job, mig welder, compressor, body tools, impact wrenches, sockets and sanders. I painted the interior of the garage, installed new lights, a wood burner for the winter, a tv and stereo for entertainment and a refrigerator for refreshments. Looking at the body work on the car it was apparent who ever did the work was not very skilled, I did not want a repeat of this by my own hands. As I have now realized this project was up to absorb way much more time than I have to offer or that history deserves. I am now resolved that I must sell this car to someone that can bring it to a state of how I thought and it was designed to be, frankly someone who knows what they are doing with it. The garage and I after it’s gone will continue. I will then attempt to acquire a project that is more in line with my skills and ability. PS: I did start the engine and it ran well, but never drove it, no brakes.
