Vehicle Detail
Nice 2010 Transit Connect Cargo XL -2 seat Van. Silver Metallic color really sparkles. The paint, body, glass and interior are all 100%. It has the side and rear door glass. Decidedly Euro appeal, lots of head room and cargo room. Great van for a delivery business, bike hauler or for camping/hunting, overnight, and weekend excursions. Advance Trac RSC for better traction and handling on a wet surface. Owned since March 2010. I actually preferred the XL model for the lack of the power robbing accessories, and poorly placed plastic controls of the XLT van... imo there is less to ever go wrong or drain on the battery with an XL variant. It just went over 4000 miles and is still nearly new in all respects. Approximately $2500 value in upgrades. A local after market automotive specialist installed carpeted paneling and additional insulation in the rear of the van on the inside walls. The factory radio was swapped out in favor of an Alpine CD/MP3/USB/AM/FM deck + added Alpine speakers in the doors and wired for box speakers in the back... the tunes sound great!!!. Momo Winter alloy wheels with a durable easy to clean finish replaced the stock steel wheels. I still have the 4 factory wheels if you want to keep some extra ice rated tires and wheels for Winter, although the momo Winter wheel finish is highly resistant to all the elements I think. It also has a hood deflector, vent visors, improved wiper blades and a factory engine block heater plug in. Cargo area is approximate 4 feet w X 6 feet l X 4'8" feet height. Compare my asking price, and the hard to find, nice extra features on this one. A steal at the reserve price considering its probably worth the hundreds more of at least the Buy it Now price. Overall the TC van is probably the best van I have ever owned. I love the space for cargo and the headroom makes it feel like a bus. It fits in a standard garage and is easy to park. Its a little slow getting to top freeway speed but the power train seems to have plenty of torque pulling once your there; so it should perform about the same if loaded with a heavy payload. Average fuel economy is 24-27 mpg. I am impulsively selling in order to buy an awd or true 4wd for some more spirited Winter driving. My impulsivity is your savings of at least $6k to $8k off a like Transit Connect if new, (which if custom equipped like this new at a dealer would list out at over $25k). Balance of 3yr/36k full warranty. 5yr/60k power train warranty. Terms $300 deposit upon auction close, certified bank check or cash balance due at time of Title and Vehicle transfer. New owner is solely responsible for title, transfer & any state or local taxes. Structured as a reserve price auction to preserve the Buy it Now price for a greater duration. Vehicle may be seen prior to bidding- can meet here or drive anywhere around the St. Paul/Minneapolis airport area to show. I think it may sell... its getting many hits and on a lot of watch lists after the first couple of days. Good luck bidding. Thanks for looking.
