Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1969 Chevrolet C-10 shortbox stepside pickup in absolute restored prestine condition. There is less than 1100 miles on this on frame restoration . I am the fourth owner from new when the truck was originally sold in Walnut Creek, California. MILES ARE ORIGINAL!!! I bought the truck with 48,672 miles and it now has 53,712. It began life with a 250 6 cylinder three speed manual on the column shift. During the restoration I replaced the 6 cylinder with a completely rebuilt matching numbers 1967 283 V-8 . I have all the receipts and have made a restoration manual for the truck. The new owner will receive the complete documentation that I have. The truck has been professionally restored and the receipts not counting labor total $13,126. Most of the restoration parts were OEM or factory authorized replacement parts. No junk was used to restore the truck. You should also know that all sheetmetal is original on the truck and was rust free. There isn't an ounce of rust anywhere on the truck. It led a sheltered life and has also never been wrecked or dented up. Here are the details. Overall: The truck began life as a basic white truck with a blue bench seat. The only option oredered new was an oil gauge and AM radio. It still has the original radio but it doesn't work all that great. During restoration the truck was dissassembled leaving the cab on the frame. The bed was removed along with the original six cylinder engine. The truck was then soda blasted to remove the paint down to the metal. As you can see from the attending photos it has no rust or dents. The truck was painted with the original Light Blue truck color for 1969 in a PPG base coat clear coat application. The paint looks terrific!! The frame was painted chassis black , the engine compartment steam cleaned and the new 283 was installed. Power steering was also installed using a rebuilt 1972 power steering setup from a Chevrolet pickup. New brakes were installed and the wheels were powder coated in dark blue. The truck has new tires on the front and the rear tires had very low miles on them so I did not replace them. The hubcaps are original chrome and I added beauty rings to complete the look. New bed wood and stainless steel bolts were installed along with stainless steel bed steel. If you wanted to tow the boat or a trailer it has a heavy duty bumper with hitch and trailer wired. If you want the hot rod look you can take off the existing bumper which is also powder coated and replace it with the small chrome stock rear bumper. The rearview mirrors are also new stainless steel. All exterior lights and lenses are new. The exhaust system is all new with dual exhaust. Engine: The engine is a matching numbers 1967 283 V-8 which has been completely remanufactured with .030 bore on all cylinders and the crank was turned .010 under. The heads were rebuilt with new valves and springs. The pistons are Perfect Circle, Clevite Main and Rod Bearings, Melling oil pump, Fel -Pro gaskets. New chrome water pump and pulleys with Saginaw power steering. All new belts and hoses ,spark plug wires with MSD electronic ignition. The carburetor is a Holley 500cfm. The cam is a new stock cam for the 220h.p four barrel application. The headers are factory ramshorn 1967 matching numbers. I have all documentaion and build sheet for the motor. It has 1100 miles since new. It has a small leak on one of the valve covers which I plan on getting to this week. The truck starts, runs and stops like it should. This truck can be driven anywhere with peace of mind. Interior: The original bench seat was removed and I replaced it with a dark blue leather seat and console combination from a 2002 Silverado pickup. The inserts were replaced with new matching fabric to the truck's light blue exterior. The steering wheel was replaced with a smaller wooden "banjo" wheel . The door panels and glove box door were powder coated dark blue which match the wheels. The dash pad and visors are new and are also blue. The dash and gauges are original .The floor mat is a new rubber replacement. All door rubber, window trim etc. has been replaced with new rubber. The front wondow and rear window rubber is also new. This truck is in exceptional condition. Everytime I drive it I get thumbs up and lots of waves from folks who appreciate these old trucks. It was built to be driven and not a trailer queen or show vehicle but it has been in a couple of local shows and has drawn lots of admirers. The restoration cost wwas far in excess of what I probably will get from the truck because the $13,126 in parts cost DOES NOT INCLUDE LABOR COSTS!!. There probably has been some items which I have not mentioned but virtually everything on the truck has been replaced or restored to original from a very low mile truck. The title is a clear Idaho title and because of its age does not reflect this miles as the exempt box ias checked. I am selling the truck as part of my effort to thin the collection out as I am retired and already have more vehicles than I can drive. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have by calling me at (208) 949-9566. I will assist a transport company in loading the vehicle for shipment or if you fly into the Boise airport I will meet you there and you can drive the truck home. Feel free to call and arrange an inspection if you are a serious buyer and in the Boise, Idaho area. I have a 100% EBAY feedback rating for over 400 transactions and intend to treat evreyone with fairness. Payment terms are a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end and the balance within 7 business days from auction end in the form of a wire transfer, cashiers check, cash. The $500 deposit can be paid through PayPal if desired. As always with a used vehicle this pickup has no WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. If you want an exceptional classic Chevrolet pickup this is the one for you! Thank you for bidding.
