Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1973 ford maverick. My son and I put this car together a couple of years ago to take to car shows and have since decided to start another project. It has been garaged since we finished and had the car painted. It has about 200 miles on the rebuilt 302. We went with the Lunati cam .512 lift. We put on rebuilt heads a new Edelbrock performer manifold and a Holley 650 carb. It has a new Hei distributor along with the water pump, fuel pump, motor mounts, headers, hoses belts, alternator and valve covers. The C4 was rebuilt and had a B&M shift kit and a B&M 2500 stall converter added in. We converted the front brakes to disc with new calipers, pads and a new master cylinder. We added the hood scoop, bobcat tail lights and got the trunk lid off of a grabber we found being scrapped out locally. The paint is also new. We added a console from a 72 mustang for the heck of it.The car has the original bucket seats and rear seat. The front seats have been recovered on there lower section. They were done before i purchased it. The headliner is original and in so-so condition. It has been re stitched at the seems and looks ok. The front spoiler has a little damage in the front where i turned into the golf course by our house and did not see the little dip in the road. It touched off and damaged it a little. It could be repaired pretty easy or just removed altogether. It has brand new front tires and the rears are in great shape . We added the traction bars and installed 4.11 gears in the rear. The car drives nice and has no issues with the wiring, suspension or power steering. The car did have air conditioning when I purchased it but we did not put the compressor back on after the rebuild. The car is not perfect but it is pretty darn clean and is fun to drive. If you live locally please feel free to come by and look at it or email me with any questions. I have close to 10,000 invested in it altogether. The reserve will be set much much lower than that. This car has always been in Southern California and the bottom is clean and free from rust. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping I will be happy to work with you getting the car picked up if you need it shipped. On Jul-25-10 at 11:33:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I have decided to add some more pictures and info on the car. Due to the amount of emails I am getting I decided to look over the car and list everything that we could find wrong with it and things we forgot to mention that have been done. When we did the front disc brakes we installed new calipers, pads, wheel bearings, seals, and new brake hoses. We also replaced the battery tray with a new one. It also has a new chrome overflow bottle. The 4.11 rear end is posi traction. I added a picture pointing to a chip in the paint on the driver side fender. It sat in driveway one night and someone hit it with a Xmas tree bulb and chipped it. You can also see the damage to the spoiler that i talked about earlier. There are a couple of pictures of the trunk area and floor. There is a little surface rust on the inner fender wells in the rear but it is nothing serious just normal surface stuff. There are a couple of picture of the frame rails and as you can see there are no rust issues. I included a picture of the back bumper it has a slight inward bow to it but it is real small hard to really even notice. There is a picture of the headliner that has been stitched back up. The front driver seat has 2 little tears in it and the passenger seat has 1 little split in it. The rear seat and area are clean and no tear. The seat belts are nice and function well. The dome light does not come on I am not sure why I never really messed with it. All other lights work well. I will include the original rear tail lights with the car. I also included a picture at a local cars show where it did win trophy for peoples choice. People really have a fondness for Mavericks at the shows.
