1961 Chevey Apache SWB step-side V-8 This truck was painted about 5 years ago and still looks good other than a couple of small blisters as shown in pics. It's a much prettier color than shown in the pictures, The sunlight was making it glare and look much lighter than it truly is. (Electric Blue) It has a 350 engine and Automatic transmission, runs good. All the lights work. Quite a bit of work has been done to this old truck in the last four or five years, but it has not had a frame off restoration. It still has original front end drum brakes, manual steering. The previous owner of the truck was old school. This truck runs and drives, but if you are used to driving late model Silverados and haven't driven anything that is 49 years old, it might take a little getting used to. However, there are some ole die hards out there, like myself, that like re-living the yester-years, if not you might want to upgrade the front end with power steering, brakes and such.. This is a nice looking truck and gets a lot of attention, but not a show truck. Someone very picky could probably pick it to death, I don't need this, No harm meant to anyone but if you're very, very picky, please look elsewhere. As we all know, most all old trucks have rust, or have had rust that's been repaired. I remember seeing this old truck a few years ago before paint. Don't remember seeing anything serious. Previous owner said it had very little rust, but that don't mean rust free. I'm sure somebody out there has an old truck that is rust free, but I personally haven't seen one that didn't have some somewhere. With that being said, I am not selling a rust free truck. I have a very, very low reserve on this truck, but I sure hope it brings a good bit more. I put a low reserve to let buyers know I am ready to sell, not speculating or trying to get it appraised.
