1979 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Roadster (R-107) Rare European Edition 2001 Second place winner in Long Island Mercedes Car show(2 points shy of Best-of-Show title!) This is one of the cleanest 280-SL in the USA. An excellent original SL except for new wheels, wool upholstery inserts on doors and seats and new German material soft-top. This car is owned by me with a clear Pennsylvania title. I have owned this car for over 25 years; current mileage is 87,500. The car drives like new and has the high output European spec DOHC-2.8L inline 6-cylinder engine with automatic transmission. The interior and exterior are in like-new condition. The car comes with hard and soft-top that are both in like-new condition. Headliner in hard-top is in like-new condition. This pampered car is essentially in like-new condition. It has not been driven in the winter. It is stored in a garage with a breathable cover when not in use. It is a non-smoking air-conditioned car. It has a Nakamichi radio with Alpine speakers; I also still have the original Becker radio. The car is sold as-is, where-is, with buyer responsible for all shipping costs.
