Thank you. 1965 Karmann Ghia Coupe (lots of pics) trades? - $6500 Up for sale is a 1965 Karmann Ghia coupe vin # 145709875 She has 124000 miles, 3 owners and ton of stories including her original title and invoice from Olin Motors in Great Bend, Kansas This is a USED car that is 46 years old, she has been loved, left and loved again. There are some rust issues on the body but easily repairable. The pans are remarkably perfect and clean. The nose has never been hit and you can see evidence of this by pulling the spare out and having a look for yourself. She has had prior rust repairs and a repaint some time in the past but still very presentable. Her interior is all original and in need of some attention with the exception of the rear seat which is in stellar condition. Her dash wears original paint and the OG clock still works, although is she sits for a few days than it stops. I believe this may have actually been a feature to keep the battery from going dead on extended down times (edit: Mike from House of Ghia states that the clock should always work so I guess I am not sure what is wrong, but it does keep time when running.driving- Thanks Mike). Still 6V and she runs like a top having a 1500cc motor installed last year and disguised to look like the original 40hp1200. Tranny shifts great and has an older Gene Berg shifter in it. There is an original Sapphire III radio in it although not hooked up (edit: The trim plate is designed to be behind the radio so this will be swapped before auction is over) . Included is also a new dash speaker. The trim is new as is the trunk and engine lid seal. The glass seals are worn and the original windshield does have a crack in it but I wanted the original glass to be there. The rear view mirror also has some really interesting patina too so we left that in tact. Tires are nearly new and all fluids have been changed. She is ready for a new home and a possible restoration down the road or just driver her as she is. Again THIS CAR RUNS PERFECT. We saved her from a not so honest man in Ventura and drove her all the way back up to Oregon using Hwy 1, 101 and I-5 and short of having to replace the throttle spring the trip went perfect.
