Up for auction is my prized 1972 VW Westfalia camper. Engine and Drive Train Engine The sock engine has been replaced with a completely rebuilt 2.0L GE. This was not a cheap "piston and barrels" rebuild. It has all new bearings, seals, pistons, camshaft, turned crank, and rebuilt heads. This was a very expensive process but well worth the cost ensuring many years of reliable use. Rebuilt Front brakes and inspected rears, new front ball joint, electric fuel pump and new filter, new battery, and much more. Interior All the seats are in great condition with no tears or rips. The jumper and all rear seats have been reupholstered and are in perfect shape. There are brand new wood floors which go great with all of the wood cabinetry within the van. The 120v interior outlet works great and the new stereo with USB and ipod hookup sounds wonderful. Rare front child's cot included along with rear mosquito net and upper cot all in fantastic condition with no tears or rips. The top canvas and netting is also in exceptional shape. Exterior The two tone white and red paint looks fantastic as you can see in the pictures! There are the usual minor door dings for a vehicle of this age but over all the vans paint is extremely glossy and in very good condition (see ad pictures). The body of the van is 99.9% rust free which is extremely rare. Even the battery tray is in perfect condition which is one of the first things that begins to rust on these vans. Overall, the van is a fantastic example of a 70's VW Westfalia and although I am sad to see it go, I know it will be a great vehicle for years to come!! Good luck bidding!!
