This is a 1992 CALYPSO RED BMW 525i, automatic, with 98,238 miles. I am the original owner, and have ALL records, including sales, window sticker, and mechanical services. Car always garaged, washed frequently, and waxed at least twice yearly. Car has been serviced mostly by BMW, until lately, when I started using a reliable non BMW service, after moving to corn country. I have all the service records, including when wiper blades were changed. Car has always been clean, including dusting, and wiping engine compartment when car was washed. CALYPSO RED is great, and when the car is clean, WOW!! The exterior has at least three dings, rear driver side door, rear passenger side door, and vertical panel of trunk. There are some scratch marks, and small dings on hood from road debris. I touched up many of these ding/scratches as they appeared, but can't get to all of them. The wheel covers are losing the coating, not as shiny as should be. The alloy wheels show curb scratches. Leather seats, interior is clean. Heated driver and passenger seats. Air conditioner, heater works fine. No cigarette smoke ever in car. Some of the inserts on door panel are getting loose. Tried to reglue. Panels are on front passenger, and both rear doors. Power windows, mirrors, sunroof all work. Driver seat power to slide seat front/back needs work, but can move seat forward/back by using up/down power feature. Passenger power seat works fine. Onboard Computer needs new sensor. Can read the info on the computer screen, but cannot transfer info to the dashboard as it should. The trunk mounted CD player just went on the blink, but will leave in for whoever wants to fix it. Trunk mounted tool kit all there. Dealer installed alarm, and double lock doors work fine. Has Limited Slip Differential. I have three service manual discs for 1992 525i, but I could not even open it!! But will include them. List of body work done; The passenger side fender panel, was replaced in August, 2007. Removed rust spots at lower edge of both front doors, July 2007. Removed beginning of rust spot over moulding, passenger rear door, May 2009. List of some of the Mechanical work done; -replace shift shaft seal, transmission pan gasket; 98,209 miles -rotate tires; 94,516 -new BMW battery, brake fluid flush; 92,798 -replace fan clutch, thermostst, water pump, recharge cooling system; 91,663 -recharge air conditioning system; 91,393 -replace batteries in two key fobs; 89,946 -4 new Sumitomo tires; 88,080 -new rear exhaust, and center muffler, all BMW parts; 87,634 -Type II Inspection, [major]; replace valve cover gasket, power steering hose, flush, and replace transmission fluid; 84,119 -replace front, and rear brake pads and sensors, 2 rotors, 2 discs, brake feeler; 82,183 -replace drive belts, and pulleys, air conditioner belt, deflection roller; 76,059 -Type I Inspection; 66,275 -replace air conditioner condenser, install conversion kit so can use R134 Freon; 62,995 -replace transmission tail shaft seal; 53,305 -Type II Inspection; 46,224 -new BEHR radiator; 45,200 -replace voltage regulator; 40,500 -4 new Continental tires; 39,326 -Type II inspection; 29,009 -replace 6 ignition coils; 26,559 -22,500 miles service -coolant flush; 20,456 -15,000 miles service. Will include all service records with sale. Car is being sold AS IS, and without any warranty, and no refunds. I have attempted to describe the car as well, and honestly as possible, but this car is 18 years old, and any imperfections, cosmetic or mechanical may have been missed. Expenses for Transportation/Delivery of the car is entirely up to the buyer. I thought about selling the car before, but every time, I would take it out for a drive here in corn country, and the nearby toll road, and I would think, Keep It. The engine is strong, car goes like hell. But now, at 76, still fit and healthy, I'm thinking of a Fit with paddle shifters so I can zoom around the backroads like in my 2002. My previous BMW'S were a 1968 blue 1600, a 1973 INKA ORANGE 2002, and a 1978 red 530i. Replaced front fender after wife made small dent when she backed backed her car into fender.On Jul-13-10 at 22:34:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Both front doors, and the passenger side rear door where the rust spots were removed show small bubbling at the bottom edge of the door, under the paint, but no rust visible. At driver front, bubbling is at front of door, about 2" long; at passenger front door, about middle of door, about 4" long; at passenger rear, about middle of door, about 2" long. Width of bubbling about 3/16".
