Vehicle Detail
I have had this car for over 15 years & have been working on it from time to time. The floor boards when I got the car had minimal rust in them & was treated with a rust killer & por`d which is a rust protectorant. The trunk pan was in very good shape so I didn`t do anything to it. The motor that was in it was shot but the fellow that I got it from had the heads redone & I have extra valve covers that have been repainted & look good along with other engine parts. Then I found another fourdoor that had been wreck in the front & had a good motor with about 49,000 miles on it so I pulled it out & proceeded to clean it up. While I was doing that I took the front end off & broke it down & repainted the inner skirts & attaching parts, keep in mind I had been doing body work as a living by now for over 20 years. I had a stainless steel exhaust put on it about 10 years ago with new glass packs on it & while I had that done I had them install spark plugs in the back of the exhaust so that I could throw flames out the back. So I installed the new or almost new motor as I would call it & it runs like a sewing machine, very quite other than the mufflers. Then on to the body work. I believe there wasn`t much body work to be done. One of the doors on the bottom was replaced with new metal & I believe there was a little rust on the bottom of one of the fenders. The hood on the other hand did have rust in the front of it & had to be cut out & replaced then sealed with por. Basicly the car has recently been reprimed & if you had the time it wouldnt take much to block it down & paint it. Front & rear bumpers have been rechromed. Have most of the chrome for the vehicle along with extra chrome parts. The interior has been redone in red & black including the seats, I believe I have brand new carpet for it to but no headliner. The brakes are up on the car but of course it could use some tires. The vent windows & door handles will have to be rechromed. There is also another trans that goes with it. The original color was red & charcoal. The front bumper has been assembled with grille & nameplate installed, you can see it in back of the interior in one of the pictures displayed minus the bumper brackets which have been sand blasted & painted. The other bumper is still rapped up in my storage shed. If I can be of any further assistance please email me or call me on my cell phone at 636 345 3208 or 636 671 0933. Thankyou Ron. There is also available which comes with the car a shop manuel that shows just about everything you need to know about the vehicle. also available are phone no`s for parts catalogs.
