Here is a VERY RARE chance to get a restorable 1950 Cadillac Model 6267X Convertible! We all know what these are worth restored! Of course, I could part this out and make more money, but I like this Caddy and would really hate to see this one just disappear. Mileage reads 92,729 but cannot verify. This vehicle is, in my opinion, a #1-2 condition and it does not run, but it rolls and steers easily. Exterior and Body: This is a southwest car (Texas) so the exterior body is visually solid. It does have the typical convertible floor pan rust found on the floors. Classic Fabrication sells replacement 18 gauge pans for 1950-1953 Cadillacs so most work will not require custom fabrication. The tire well and the trunk seams look good, however, the trunk flat will require some repair in the middle. The rockers, fenders and other parts appear solid with the exception of the small area in front of passenger side rear wheel well and the spots on the lower doors. Good fender skirts with trim is included. The front fenders are solid but will need to be properly aligned. The front grill will need to be replaced but these are common on all 1950 Cadillac models and finding a decent one should not be an issue. The rear bumper is strait and the front bumper will need straitening. The fender & hood trim pieces will need to be replaced but most of the hard to find and expensive convertible trim pieces are there. Motor and drivetrain: This has an original 1950 motor (which will require an overhaul). The installed motor is a short block, it is missing accessories as the carb, water pump, fuel pump, generator and distributor, but I have a manifold and air cleaner, a set of heads and rare script valve covers from a 51 Cadillac that are included. The transmission, starter and driveshaft are in the car and all appear original. The gas tank is included but out of the car. Interior: The original seat springs are poor so I am supplying a set of seats from a 1951 Coupe that require apolstery but the springs are good condition. The windshield will need to be replaced. The passenger front window and both rear windows are included, but this car is missing the drivers window. Both vent windows are broken but they do open and close. The door hydraulic hardware is missing, however these are the same from models from 50-53. Many people replace with electric. Conclusion: I have tried to list everything I know as honestly as posible, this Cadillac is not for the faint of heart, but if you are motivated, talented and desire a real nice restorable project, this is it. You could go across the country looking for a restorable Cadillac Convertible ... they do occationally appear on ebay and other locations ... but you can wait for a long time to find one, especially with a great color combination as Red, White and Black! (Fiesta Ivory (Paint 22), Red Leather (Trim 53), and Black Top (Top 2)). Place your bid! Vehicle is sold "As Is" with "Bill of Sale" only.
