Restored 1990 CR 500. Motorcycle was stripped down to bare frame. Frame was bead blasted, then magnafluxed for cracks & repainted w/ industrial epoxy paint. Bike has IMS foot pegs. Engine has been totally rebuilt, including: new crankshaft, piston rod & all bearings & seals in bottom end. Also a NEW factory Honda cylinder & head studs, new weisco pro-lite piston, rings, wrist pin & bearings, new boyesen pro stock reeds & rebuilt carb. Also, a new coil & pickup were installed, along w/ a brand new, factory type air filter. Engine is stock bore, & built to Honda specs, other than new reeds. Engine has less than 2 hours on rebuild, mostly "break in" type riding on heavy premix & fat jetting. Engine has not seen any high RPMs or race/practice type riding. Front & rear wheel bearings & seals have all been replaced, as well as rear wheel spacers. Front & rear brake calipers have been rebuilt using Honda parts & both sets of brake pads have been replaced. Bearings & seals in the steering stem have been replaced, as well as all pivot bearings & seals in rear suspension. Rear swingarm was polished. Front forks were totally rebuilt using Factory Honda parts, every seal, bushing, o-ring & anything else that could be or should be replaced was. Front & rear fenders were replaced & fuel tank & rad. shrouds were micro sanded & polished. Side plates are also new, and new factory graphics installed. Bike has a good seat cover on it, but I do not like the color, I have a new one on order. Bike has new Dominator handle bars & Oneal grips. Bike has a new front sprocket, near new rear sprocket & the chain will be good for several more hours of riding. The chain guide & slider are new & the rollers are near new. The rear tire is OK, for riding, but the front is dry rotted from age, both are the originals. They are rideable but the front really needs to be replaced. I have a ton of money in this bike. I also have a ton of time in it, cleaning & painting various parts & things & using SS fastners when possible. THIS BIKE IS NOT PERFECT ! It is however really nice, & every piece or part that needed to be replaced, was. I have various spare parts like extra front & rear fenders, radiators, spare coil, & pick up, extra Gripper seat cover. All can go with bike. I also went to a 40 to 1 oil ratio. I rode the bike this afternoon & IT IS JUST SHORT OF VIOLENT! ITS AN ABSOLUTE BEAST.
