Vehicle Detail
1977 Ford Early Bronco for sale for parts only. I have had this bronco since 1998 and I quit driving it about 8 years ago. It has been setting in a barn on my farm. I pulled it down to Nitro, WV residence to clean it up and sell it but unfortunately on the way down it got hot and had a small fire that damaged the center of the dash area including the pad and radio area and the wiper covers. It overheated as I was towing it on a tow dolly. The bronco has a fiberglass front clip, including fenders and grill and a good hood. It has a good top with a little rust in the left front corner. The engine ran well when I parked, it leaked oil at the valve covers. I pulled the carb off and rebuilt it and never reinstalled it. It has a Dana 44 front end with disc brakes and it has power steering. It has a ford 9" with limited slip. It is setting on 32x11.5 tires and rims. It has an excellent heavy duty front bumper and rear bumper. The drive train is good but I suspect the auto C4 transmission is damaged because that is what got hot when I towed it. The rest of the body is not in good condition, the doors and frames may be saved but the rest is pretty rusted. I purchased this for 3000.00 in 1998 but due to the fire it is a bargain starting at 800.00. I removed the rear driveshaft so I can tow it a reasonable distance at 1.00 permile one way. But you must ask it if is more than 100 miles from Nitro, WV. I will make the vehice available for loading if you need to transport it. It is not running and is used for alot of great parts only, including the front clip, hood, top, drivetrain, and engine. It does have a clear WV title for it if you want it. Before the fire I intended to put this back on the road but now I am selling it for parts only. No warentees or refunds please. My mistake is your chance to get a deal if you need parts or are planning a frame off restoration. If you plan on towing an automatic bronco with a tow dolly make sure you unhook the drive shaft first. I added three photos this morning, two of the inside showing the minimal damage from the fire that isolated to the radio, the dash pad (removed) the visor hanger (removed) and the padding around the shifter. The windshield is cracked where I threw water on the fire to extinquish it. I tried the brakes, I didn't expect them to work since it has been setting, they don't. I didn't see anything broken on them though. Also, I put the carb back on, I jumped the motor and discovered that the solenoid is bad and won't turn the engine over, and the ignition switch is sticking and may need replaced or cleaned up.
