You are bidding on a 1998 Ford Windstar Van with Handicap accessibility. The 55,605 miles shown is the original mileage and van was meticulously kept and maintained. Please note that we drive van here and there and so mileage may be slightly different when you come for pick up. The engine drives like new and the transmission shifts as if it just came out of the factory. The body is in excellent shape and other than minor scratches typical of the age of such vehicle, there is no significant dent or damage to the body. This van was specially designed for wheelchair transportation. The driver’s seat is removable and can be replaced with a wheelchair. It has an EZ Lock Wheelchair Restraint Systems model BL-6290 for automatically locking the driver’s seat. There is a release button on the dash for engaging and disengaging this locking device. The other passengers’ wheelchairs are locked using the straps shown in the picture. The removable back seat is for traveling companion or if passengers on wheelchairs prefer to use the back seat instead of their wheelchairs. Known Issues: The check engine light and the ABS lights are on. The ABS code came out to be C1185 and I was told it may need the speed control deactivation switch. The check engine light code is Evap Code which could be triggered when the gas cap is not properly tightened. By and large, this van drives well and none of these codes affect its smooth operations. The air suspensor does not automatically inflate. We modified this by running an air outlet to the rear bumper where air is pumped into the system about once a day depending on usage. The fuse that controls the power window was removed by the previous owner and I have not taken the time to replace it. I have made every effort to describe all the defects in the van to the best of my knowledge. Please feel free to come for inspection or test drive if in doubt.
