This is a 1981 VW Rabbit LH Pickup I purchased a couple of months ago for the good engine it had. Now I no longer need it, so it must go. It is complete except for the engine and transmission. It is in good condition, looks straight, has NO Rustout, glass is all OK and windows and doors work OK. The paint is old and oxidized, but the car shows no obvious signs of ever been in a wreck. It presently has a clear CA. Title, but has been put on Non Op status since 1995 I believe. I have never driven it (just took the engine out and its been sitting since, most of the time inside.) It does have all the A/C components except the compressor (which went with the engine). It is located Near Chico, Ca. (in Durham). I know very little of the history of it, only that the engine had been recently overhauled (which is why I wanted it). All the tires hold air (at least they did when I went up and got the engine). I live in Visalia, Ca., which is about 250 miles from where the vehicle is, which explains some of my vague descriptions (I only have seen it that one time). I don't even know if it was a 4 or 5 speed, but that would be the transmission which is gone. I have not canibilized it. I expect a $100 non refundable deposit upon your being high bidder, and the remainder when it is picked up. Storage where it is is not a problem for a reasonable time, but I should be contacted before it is moved.
