1976 BMW R-Series

Up for auction is a 1976 BMW R75/6 with 45,447 miles. This is a great running, classy bike that is hard to come by. The engine was rebuilt in 2000 and the carbs were rebuilt within the last month by Capital Cycle; I replaced all the fuel lines when the carbs we re-intalled. It also has a brand new gel battery, recently replaced rear suspension units (Progressive) and comes with a new seat cover that is not yet installed. The seat has a couple of small tears in the top, seat has the rare passenger backrest. The mufflers are stainless steel and guaranteed to last. The bike is fitted with luggage mounts ready for Krauser or Hepco & Becker luggage. There are some cosmetic flaws, easy to remedy, such as a couple of rusted bolt heads on the frame and a cracked steering damper knob. One battery cover is missing from the right side of the bike but the other is in good shape and these covers can be found or bought. It has the rare fehling crash bars that are also from germany and serve to protect the valve covers and bike. The bike also has an electronic ignition system installed to create a stronger spark for the bike to start and run on. This is truly a great running classic to own and ride.
