This is a garage kept 1986 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas sold AS/IS, all sales final. I will be as honest as I can up-front. As pictured, it has 111k miles on it. For the good points, It has a body in good condition. Engine and transmission are good. It runs, A/C is not so cold but has heat. It is almost full of gas. Electric sun roof, electric windows all work. Seats are in pretty good condition, rear seats look new. Has dual locking gas tanks with no leaks. Now the bad news, the fuel gauges get stuck on empty sometimes, the starter drags, the rear passenger door behind the driver will not unlock, the fuel pump is weak (it does not supply enough pressure to start the car, I have it wired to a switch near the driver seat to pre-pressurize the injectors). There are no warrantees and car is sold as is. If you are a little handy it could be a great car. It starts every time. It runs silent and almost floats over the street. I have three cars and this one only serves to take up space in my garage. I worked for Motorola automotive as a designer of automotive ECUs and electrical systems and I drag race so I know cars and can tell you pretty much everything you need to know about this vehichle and what it needs. It has also been looked over many times by Jaguar engineers. I am the second owner. I have driven it many times to work and back, about 50 miles each way. I bought it with 87k miles and I put the additional 24k mileage on it. The plates have expired and it is dusty. Please ask questions. I would probably not try to drive is cross country as I don't trust the fuel pump but if you are local, it would be a nice ride. It served me well but I have too many cars now, I am reworking my 90 Camaro drag racer and my fiance will not let me keep any more "projects". It is a beautiful car. It just needs a little TLC. Car is "pickup" only. This car comes with an extra ECU, tested and working. The battery is a new OPTIMA Red-Top AGM with 1000CA. Oops, almost forgot, car comes with original owners manual, service manual and if bidding goes over $1000.00 I will throw in a battery charger/maintainer.
