I need to sell my 1989 Mustang GT 5.0 - CLEAN FLORIDA TITLE!!! This car runs hard but needs some TLC - It goes anywhere without any problems. Ill keep the post short and sweet: Mileage: 38,500 +/ -... Ok, I'd assume for this to be 138K, but Im almost positive before I took it to the transmission shop it was 88K, and the Oil change Sticker from 09 says 59K... So, not sure what happened there - The previous owner mentioned that there was the possibility that the owner before him (the one who did the interior and such) might have swapped the engine since the flywheel was a different size then listed for 1989...so that is one option, All I know is that the engine is one of the best sounding 302's I have ever heard/driven Exterior Fair Car is Completely Rust free, and 99% dent free.. nothing major but Im positive theres a small one on the door. There are 2 cracks on the rear bumper, and the front bumper either needs to be replaced or JB Welded. Car will def need paint, although doesnt look too bad driving around. The Drop Top is almost new.. The previous owner put it in. It DOES work, just needs Hydraulic fluid and I cant figure out how to get it in! Car does NOT come with the Bra - I took it off the other day - Probably increases its value by junking it!! Hahaha! Interior Interior is GREAT - Seats are leather and like new. Could use a conditioning as the Blue is Vibrant but the white is a little dull in comparison. There is ONE finger nail sized tear on the passanger seat. The rest of the interior is blue/white and has matching floormats. Other then a few tightening of screws and a thourough cleaning the interior needs NOTHING Mechanics Engine runs perfect...no knocks, no miss-fires, timing is on. No smoke at all, car runs perfect. Starts right up everytime. Transmission was just rebuilt, has less then 100 Miles on it. No issues at all except cant get into reverse SOMETIMES , I know the older T-5's do this, I have gotten it in a few times, but there seems to be a sequence, such as 1st, then reverse, or first, clutch, clutch, reverse - I know it has a reverse gear, and it works fine.. cause when I DO get it, it goes but I am not taking it back to this tranny shop as they drove me nuts! Also had the flywheel resurfaced at the same time, New LUK clutch installed as well as a new (used) Driveshaft and yolk to ease the jolt when shifting/downshifting. The car is powerful and runs smooth - Sounds amazing with the Dump exhaust! Exhaust might need a gasket, there is a little leak but considering they are dumps it doesnt make all that much of a difference. Car is leaking some Power Steering fluid, I just havent bothered going under it to find from where. A/C is COLD!!!!! Actually, im always impressed with how cold it is for a 21 year old car - the Compressor was replaced recently and man..can you feel it! Overall the car is great - What it really needs is Paint - I was going to do Blue with White racing stripes to match the interior but just dont want to work on the project anymore - Life is changing, and moving to a new place wont give me space for the extra car, or a spot to work on it. new paint and rims - car would easily be worth $5000+ Below are some photos: I am selling the Car "AS-IS" - If you have any questions please ask!!
