Up for auction today is a 1974 jeep cj 5 , with 101797 original miles on it .I have owned this jeep for over 10 years,I have driven it 792 miles in over 10 years, most of those mile have been to the lake, or to the store ,or in the feild behind my house ,it has been stored in my garage for the entire time I have owned it. The guy I bought it from had it in his barn for the 8 yrs before that, You wont find a cleaner jeep for the year no way! this jeep starts right up and idles great, it runs and drives great also, the jeep has the straight 6 cylinder it has lots of power, it has the 3 speed transmisson and high low 4wd, which all work great! The frame on this is one is of the cleanest I'v seen ,it has 1 patch welded in the way it should be, The frame has been painted with rust reformer paint for frames. the tub is fiberglass from 4wd hardware, and the hood and winshield frame is metal the jeep also has a tuffy locking box with a cd player in it , I also has the original soft top and doors they arent in bad shape either, their are a few bad thing with this jeep, the front seats are pretty tore up . I just cover them with seatcover as you can see, I took pics with seat covers off so you could see what they look like. the other thing is when I started and pulled the jeep out this year,I drove it up the rode when I hit the brakes it pulled to the right , I think a calipher might be hanging up, anyway, this is a very reliable jeep with great restoring potential, The jeep starts and runs great frame is very good, old enough to get historical plates, get a great deal on a piece of history, email me with ?s, I encourage any one who is interested to come out and take a look and drive it, check feedback and bid with confidence, , please ignore date on pics, my camera needs time and date set, these pics where taken about a week ago, thanks
