Vehicle Detail
An American dream car 1966 California special that is very rare and unique. The car is almost completely restored. Being from California it is solid with very little rust. I took some before pictures of the floor and body before we painted it and put in the new interior. This beautiful classic runs and drives great. It is an original 289 3 speed manual car but the original motor was taken out and swapped with a 302. If interested I do have most the original 289 motor parts. New parts that have been put towards this classic are: Brakes, master cylinder, brake lines, plugs, carpet, dash pad, seat covers, emblems, bumpers, antenna, battery, door panels, plugs, oil, filters, tail lights, trunk kit, headliner, and new Goodyear tires. Car runs and drives great please click on the links to see two videos of the car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRj9mcxJ8iI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4yF8TEePDc The first shows the car starting up and a good look at it in real life. The second is it going down the road. The color of the car is the original silver frost. We had it repainted and it shines and looks awesome. It does have a few flaws and some small dents when looked at really close. It is a great car to pull out of the garage and enjoy. The motor and trans are very solid. The motor runs strong but needs to be run and fine tuned. When we picked the car up it had been sitting for 20 years. The manual trans shifts very smooth. We had our mechanic go through all the mechanics of the car and he said everything looks great. The bottom side of the car has not been touched. He did not want anybody to think we were covering up rust. It has a very solid frame and under belly. All it needs is an undercoat sprayed underneath and it will complete this restoration. All the gauges work great. Whoever wins this great car will be very proud to pull it in their garage. Please give me a call if you have any questions Tony 479-979-8669
