1966 Chevy 1/2 ton Shortbed Stepside PU. 98617 original documented miles. One owner "Bone Stock" truck w/repaint & new interior. Hi Torque "292" 6 cyl 4 spd w/granny. Truck has new Ralleys, new Michelins, dual exhaust (Y'd), otherwise "All Original". Have ALL original documentation to include Window Sticker, Build Sheet, Manuals & pictorial history. This truck is in perfect condition & could be driven anywhere. This is possibly the nicest 66 in existence. BODY/PAINT: Body is 100% Rust Free Southwest,(New Mex/Ariz), 1/2 Ton SNB. Body is 100% free of ANY imperfections - No waves, wrinkles, dents, rust or ANY other body issues. The paint is the original color. "Emerald Turquoise" & is an exceptional Paint Job, strikingly beautiful. Paint if approx 3 yrs old and looks as new. No runs, no orange peel, only a couple of minor nicks/scratches. INTERIOR: Interior was repainted in original "Fawn" factory color and truly looks "As New". It feels like you are in a new 66 Chevy in the cab of this truck. Original bench seat which has been re-upholstered, (to include all new foam), in a ribbed cloth which is turquoise and gray & matches body color. Seat not only looks exceptional but is much more comfortable than the factory vinyl. Floor rubber mat was also replaced and looks new as well. Dash includes single pull heater/blower knob, (heater works as new), radio is AM/FM Cassette Classic Chevy replacement which fits original radio cutout and knob holes. No hacking, cutting, drilling or any other alterations done to this cab - it is as new! Glass all perfect including all window/door crank and vent mechanisms fully operational as new. Cab is airtight solid and quiet. DRIVETRAIN: Truck has original Hi-Torque "292" ci 6 cyl motor which is incredibly powerful and very torquey. It runs as good as the rebuilt original 327 ci V-8 in my 66 C20. Transmission is the factory 4 spd w/granny 1st gear & again like all other components of this truck, it functions like new. It shifts smoothly and all synchros function as new with no grinding, sticking or any other shifting concerns. Rear end is a stock 12 bolt - (not sure of gear ratio). Complete brake system has been replaced and truck stops on a dime - straight, no hesitation. Truck has no power brakes or power steering but actually drives like it does. All four shocks have been replaced and front end- has been completely rebuilt. BED is Oak & has been recently re-furbished. Oak has some minor cracking in some planks but overall look is as new. It also has polished aluminum bed strips in floor of bed. Ralley rims & Tires are new with less than 500 miles on the 5 new Michelins (LTX M/S P235/75R 15's). Overall condition of this truck is exceptional! It runs and drives like a new truck! It could be driven across country w/no problem.
