Vehicle Detail

Thanks for coming to check out this auction! I have an excellent reputation & positive feedback rating on eBay, & you can bid with confidence on my items. Shown here is a rare 1990 Buick Estate Wagon in nearly mint condition with a mere 40,435 miles on it! ‘90 was the final year for this body style before General Motors went to the more rounded-off, smaller station wagons. The car was previously from California (now located in Iowa). As you can see by the front & back scanned images of the previous title, the miles were stated to be actual. I don't see any excessive wear on the gas/brake pedals, and judging from the overall condition of the car, I'd say this is accurate! The interior is extremely nice (including the carpet and all of the seats). It almost has a vintage wooden-boat (marine) type atmosphere inside the way the instrument panel & gauges appear. All of the glass is good with no cracks or chips, etc. The car is a real creampuff, and is fully-loaded with options: including, 5-liter V8 engine, automatic transmission (with overdrive for good fuel economy), power seats, power windows, power brakes, power antenna, cruise control, air-conditioning (blows cold!), electronic dual climate control, automatic-dimming headlights, daytime running lights, leather seats, power lift-gate window, flip-down tailgate + swing-out rear cargo-door combo, etc etc. Every-single thing works on the car with the exception of the passenger side front speaker in the door (probably just a loose wire). I have the original owner's manual in the glove box as well. The car runs, drives and stops just as you would expect it to’ve when it was new. It has been recently taken on a 300+ mile roadtrip, and performed beautifully! The transmission is tight with no sluggish/mushy shifts, the brakes work great with no pull, etc. & have plenty of pad life left (the rear drums are brand new, and still gray metal... with not even any surface rust on them yet). The alignment is nice & straight. The suspension is tight, and the shocks aren’t worn out or “boaty”. There are no knocks, ticks, rattles or other such noises. I checked, and the muffler and tailpipe are all intact, although the exhaust sounds just slightly louder than one might expect for being all stock. The V8 engine has great power, and sounds nice & healthy (no misses, sputters, or hesitation) which is really exceptional for a carbureted car of this age! I would say you could hop in this car and drive anywhere on the Continent at a moment's notice! Fly out and drive her home if you wish. (By the way…the 18" and 20" wheels don't come with the car unless the buyer adds an additional $1,000 to the end purchase price after auction). The factory 15" aluminum wheels & tires are in good shape (with rubber showing better than 50% tread remaining). Aesthetically, this car looks great, but there is a tiny bit of bubbling on the paint in a couple areas down low, and some of the wood-grain trim has been touched up (see close-up photos). The car doesn't have any major dents or scratches, and the paint is still glossy and very nice overall, but there are a few dings and chips. There is a piece of rubber trim molding on the passenger side of the rear bumper which is missing, but otherwise, the car is 100% complete. There’s little-to-no rust showing anywhere on the exterior body, and the frame & floors are solid (as would be expected from a low mileage car). It looks immaculate under the hood as well! The title will be transferred over to an Iowa title registered in my name before purchase. This car appears to have been garaged most of its life, and is in exceptionally nice condition all over! This is an opportunity to own a really sweet older woody-wagon from an era-gone-by! You can take the whole family along, or 8 friends on an adventure that you won’t soon forget! There’s even a luggage rack on the roof for all your gear, and the car has plenty of towing capacity if you wished to bolt up a frame-hitch, and tow a camper (or trailer with some ATVs) etc. It gets constant attention everywhere you go with it, and would be a big hit at the car shows! Check out eBay item# 220611842760 to view a comparable wagon which was recently listed on ebay. I think ours is better. There have also been others recently which have sold for even more on eBay. As you can see, I’ve listed mine at a VERY fair price with no reserve, so be sure to get your bid in on this auction with adequate time before the bidding is up! Use a bid-snipe service if you have unreliable internet service, or aren’t sure you’ll be around for the end of auction; but don’t miss out on this great car! Anyone is welcome to come inspect this vehicle, or take it for a test drive. Just give my mechanic & bodyman partner a call @ (641) 512-5229… (he is very familiar with the car, and can best answer any further questions you might have). ..and now for the fine print... By bidding on this item (or otherwise agreeing to purchase the vehicle), you acknowledge that it is being sold AS IS with no warranty implied or expressed, and that I require a $250.00 security deposit via PayPal or money order sent to myself: Ron Wunderlich, 15791 Nettle Ave., Mason City, IA 50401 within 5 days of auction’s end, and the remaining balance of the vehicle to be paid for in full within 10 days. If coming to pick it up in person, then I ask that you bring cash for the remainder of payment, otherwise if having the vehicle shipped, a money order or cashier’s check is acceptable. If you can’t get the car picked up right away; storage for a reasonable amount of time may be an option, but please ask before you bid, and remember that the vehicle must be paid for in full within 10 days of auction’s end whether it has been picked up yet or not. Anyone failing to pay for an item sold at auction will most appropriately receive a strike against their good-standing as an eBay member. Also, security deposits are considered non-refundable. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. If you intend to have this vehicle shipped with a car carrier, the auto transporters I have contact info for are as follows: Atlas Auto Transport (888)285-2706 (call them first), David Irving 763-441-3796, Larry Baker 605-484-6949, and there’s also one called D.A.S. (Dependable Auto Shippers) with a shipping dock out of Altoona, Iowa (about 2&½ hours from us here in Mason City) 800 826-1083. However… DAS does have some finicky policies; for instance no contents in the car (such as an extra set of wheels/tires, etc) so do beware of this kind of thing with them. Thanks again for looking!
