This is a '59 LeSabre that, as I did the restoration, I up graded to " Grand Sport" status. The paint is "Candy Red" over a Metallic Silver base. The wheels are 17X8 Cragar S/S. Included in "Hor Rod" magazine, Spring 2008, Readers Rides issue. This car draws attention every time it's driven. The 425 c.i., 4bbl., nailhead engine is from a Riviera. I don't know the mileage on the engine, but the compression readings are as follows: 160,160,160,160,150,150,155,150. It runs great! The transmission is a 2 speed automatic. (Buick version of a Powerglide). I relocated the shifter from the column to the '65 Buick console on the floor. The bench seat has been replaced with bucket seats - Including seatbelts. This Street Rod has Power Drum Brakes and Power Steering. It has "Silver Bullett" Halogen headlights and custom L.E.D. taillights. The mirrors on the fenders are restored "Yankee" mirrors. The Chrome and Stainless Steel trim have also been restored. It still has a few minor things that could be done. The sending unit in the gas tank is the wrong ohms for the Gas Gauge, so when the tank is full - the gauge only reads half full. The Speedometer read 15-20 mph to fast. The original radio is still in the dash but not hooked up to speakers. And the glass in the vent windows is original and starting to delaminate. Over all this car is a real crowd pleaser. You always get crained necks, big eyes, wide open mouths and thumbs up when you drive it around. I'm only selling it to help pay for my daughters College tuition.
